Can it be used in a water distiller?

I use this in my "water distiller" to remove chemicals like alcohol from my water. Works like a charm.

This element fold touches the inside of the sight glass in my rims heater, will it cause damage while wort is pumped through it?

I would not want the element to touch anything.

can this be wired directly to wall power?

it Is 120 volt so yes it works with “wall” power. I would recommend some kind of control device . I use a router variable speed controller with mine.
