The Qur'an: With a Phrase-by-Phrase English Translation

The translation is really amazing and very simple to understand the english part is written big enough to clearly read the arablic isnt that much i do recomend people to buy if they really want to understand the meaning part not so much for reading arabic i will attach a pic from the inside of the quran with my review.

This Quran is fine but it wasn’t the one I was looking for, is it possible for me to return this and not get a refund, as I don’t want to disrespect it ?

Very good. It arrived in time

Bought for family including teenage children. Ali Quli Qarai's work is accessible and readable for anyone wanting to get quickly into the body of the Quran and its wide scope. Helpfully, the arrangement places the English translation alongside Arabic phrases so that Arabic readers who are not conversant with meanings, are able to develop a sense of the rhythm of the original verse and the basic meaning. This 6th edition has a useful index which is adequate to help navigate topics of interest. As it is not a commentary, I think it serves most modern regular users who are not academics but need an accessible bilingual edition. There may be some verses which require further cross referencing but this is the case with any work of this complexity, so is not a criticism. The print format allows space for the fonts to be reasonably sized for most readers without adding extensively to the size and weight overall. Paper quality inside is fine, although this 6th edition really deserves to be offered in hardback, but have not found it. Links to hardback versions seem to be earlier editions, so good if sellers can clarify listings.

As expected

Wonderful, larger font=easy to read in low light before bed, I've compared this to a few other translations including the Clear Quran, and I prefer this English interrupted book the most. Alhamdulillah

If you are like me and must take in the Qur'an in English to more fully understand its message, I strongly encourage you to purchase Ali Quli Qarai's translation. Having grown up Muslim speaking some Arabic at home that is nothing like the scriptural Arabic of the Qur'an, I am no scholar who can vouch for the accuracy of the translation beyond the basics. But I do know scholars who do appreciate and recommend this version. Over the years, I have purchased and given away this version dozens of times—it's that good! I grew up on the archaic, cumbersome translations from the 19th and early 20th centuries, the only ones that were widely available in the '90s. So from my vantage point, this is a gift. It is the only translation I have read that retains some of the eloquence of the Arabic (well, as much as the English can retain) and is easy to read.

A better way to teach and learn the meanings of Quran. May Allah give Ajr to all involved.

Pretty fast delivery. Great quality book. Heavier than I thought but it’s to be expected with both the Arabic and English written alongside each other. Small patch of print got lost on one or two letters but nothing that bothers whilst reading. Can recommend!
