Gilmore Girls: Season 4 (Digipack)

This imported disc set of 6 DVDs has a circle mark made out in each of the discs. Looks like a disgruntled laborer used a pin to create a circular gash. The same problem is there is 3 out of 6 discs in first season and 1 disc in third season. The issue was raised with Excel Home Videos Customer Care for another movie with the same issue, but it did not have the decency to even send a sorry note, leave alone a replacement. People who buy discs be warned. Open the jackets, check the discs and play them because sellers have a limited day replacement warranty.

Gilmore girls is one of the best shows ever made for TV. This season was no exception. Some people claim that the first half of the season is dry and lacking creativity because Rory goes off to Yale. However, have you ever gone off on a new adventure in your life and have the start of it kinda trying to find your place? That's what Rory's story is about. Her trying to find her place at Yale, and coping with all the changes in her life. Same with Loralai, trying to cope with having Rory gone from the home. Loralai is also changing her life, too. The new inn is a big stress factor, and one can not just go into a new life situation and not have problems. I believe the writers were trying to incorporate that into the writing. They are very creative for that. Leaves you feeling like the characters. Trying to find your place. Empathize! As for Digger Stiles, you can't like him too much because Luke and Loralai are meant to be together and you know that at the end of the show they will be. If you think Digger and Loralai are too good together, then why get rid of him? He's just a filler for the show, and for the whole dynamic with Emily and Richard. Witty and charming and fairly wholesome except for a couple of the episodes. I guess it gives you something to talk about with your daughter. A show for the whole family. Highly recommended.

Listen, when my wife first suggested we watch Gilmore Girls, I felt as though I needed to eat a raw steak just to counter the femininity of the idea. A show about two girls? And their trials and tribulations as mother and daughter? PLEASE. Then I watched an episode. Then a second. Soon I was on Amazon buying SEASONS. Pathetic? Weak? I don't think so. If you have have the ability to laugh, then this show is something you need to watch! The witty dialog is unmatched by any other television show. Mix in a little pop culture and a manly diner owner and his nephew who balance things out, and you have a show that you BOTH can watch. Some of the characters are absolutely unbelievable...at first. Then you get to know Stars Hollow a little better, and you realize that you have in fact visited towns across the world that seem to be real, and yet totally beyond reality at the same time. Suddenly you recognize you KNOW a Taylor Doose - I know several Michels. In all seriousness, I have absolutely fallen in love with this clever and intensely well-written show. I have a sneaky suspicion that if you looked at the original show demographics, a surprisingly significant amount of men watched this it, and I am not ashamed to admit that I ask to re-watch it as often as my wife does. HIGHLY recommended. Oy with the poodles already!
