Man it stinks!
My driver gave me an unusual look when it was delivered! It's really really stinky but delicious. I use it on crackers or rye bread. My dad used to bring this home and my mom hated it. I will say it will stink up your refrigerator even if it's in a glass container. I have aged it past it's best by date before and it gets extremely creamy and even more delicious. Definitely an acquired taste but I'm a fan.

Hard-to-find delight did not disappoint!
I was very impressed with the careful packaging with ice. My cheese arrived in the midst of the Florida summer nicely chilled. I will most definitely order from this seller again. I cannot find any store carrying that Limburger cheese that I grew up with in Belgium, and it is such a treat to be able to order it from this company.

Tasted like home
I’ve ordered this cheese in the past, which my mother was okay with. My mother said this order was amazing. She is from Germany and said it tasted exactly like the cheese in Germany. This was a mothers day gift. We just lost our father. The cheese brought a smile to her face. She was very grateful. Thank you 😁

Have it your way.
I love one the worlds smelliest and best tasting cheese and it use to be in every Grocery store. Only one place in Wisconsin makes it quintessentially German. Well I got it on Amazon years ago and it was costly. Today however it is really cheap like $5 a brick (8 oz) but with a catch. They do not tell you but when you get it it is not mature. So it is bland, nearly every one (comments) agrees. I found a solution: mature it yourself. That does not mean storing it under your pillow. It means a styrifoam cooler with ice packs exchanged twice daily to keep the temperature between 40F and 50F. That number is not rigid: if too low the fermenting gets slower and if the temp goes above it ferments faster. And of course I like the really strong stuff so mistakes are just better! This is October Fest anyway! Cheers.

need to age the cheese
very mild when first opened. I age the cheese on counter top at room temperature in a air tight container. At about 7 days it really beginning to smell and taste like Limburger!

Excellent Product, Very Good Packaging By Wisconsin Cheese Mart
I was a little concerned about ordering cheese online to be shipped to my home, but Wisconsin Cheese Mart did an EXCELLENT job packaging it. It was still firm and cool to the touch when it arrived. I will order cheese from them again with no hesitation.
