Good product, however; your "waterproof" connectors and 10' of connector wire are cheap and not a positive reinforcer to the quality of the speakers. I placed my speakers 20' apart with a heavier gage outdoor speaker wire and they work great. Florida (heavy) rain storms and my daily sprinkler watering have not killed the speakers. Just place them on a hard surface off the ground (brick or stone slab) and face the front of the speaker away from your sprinkler head or other source of water. The volume of these speakers is very good around our pool...not rock concert...but loud enough that I have to turn down the volume for conversation to take place. The bluetooth connection were I am is good; however, depending on the microwave pollution in your area (radar other bluetooth devices) reception is good up to 30' from your bluetooth transmitter (smartphone, ipad, computer). If you are streaming music to your devices through WIFI a good WIFI signal strength is needed or your music will skip or stop. Have fun and rock on! UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE: FYI It is now almost 2 years several hurricanes, thousands of gallons rain, irrigation water and the speakers are still working like new.

I was hesitant to purchase again from OSD because I have an older pair of speakers (non-bluetooth) which lasted about 5 years and I had some trouble with the non-weather proof power supply. That said,the speakers did not fail but rather were inadvertently damaged by gardening implements (weed whacker).First and foremost the speakers sound great! The installation was easy and their have definitely been some design improvements from older versions (WRT8000). For example the new models have a power cord extension (about 12") and a weather insulated connector. I placed this in a socket protector to ensure it's protected from the elements and gardening tools. As with older versions the 12VDC power supply is NOT weather rated and needs to be placed in a weather tight enclosure. This is something I'd hope they address with future models as it seems counter intuitive to have an otherwise great weather proof product without a weather tight power supply.The remainder of the hookup was simple. They provide about 30' of speaker cable which can be easily buried, run through conduit, or just placed on the ground along the fence line. A small knob Philips head screwdriver is all that is needed to loosen the terminal posts to insert the wire leads. The polarity is marked albeit you may have to hold it an angle to see it.The bluetooth connectivity is as easy as it gets and I was able to easily connect the following devices: iPhone6, MacBookPro, Kindle Fire Table and a few others. The bluetooth ID is "BT Speaker" which is a bit generic. I would prefer it to be called "OSD Rock Speaker" or something other than just BT Speaker, but this is nit-picking.From unpacking, wiring, to listening to music was less than 20 minutes.Sounds great! Would definitely recommend!

SPEAKERS WOULD BE BETTER THAN THE PREVIOUS ION SOLAR STONE SPEAKERS FROM ORB AUDIO. THOSE SUCK AS WELL BUT FOR A DIFFERENT REASON - THEY DON'T STAY ON AND THE SOLAR ASPECT DOESN'T SEEM TO CHARGE WORTH A CRAPOLA. AND I KEEP THOSE PLUGGED IN ALL THE TIME AND THEY DON'T EVEN STAY ON.BUT BACK TO THE CURRENT MONEY-WASTERS - THE ROCK SPEAKERS WERE A GOOD IDEA - I THOUGHT. I WANTED SOMETHING THAT WOULD BLEND AND YET SOUND GREAT. AND FOR THE FIRST MONTH OR SO THEY DID. I GUESS ENOUGH RAIN GOT INSIDE THESE THINGS THAT WHEN I OPENED ONE UP TODAY, FINALLY, HAVING A DAY OFF AFTER FOUR MONTHS, I FOUND A TWO INCH PUDDLE INSIDE IT!!! I DRIED THE ENTIRE THING OUT, LET THE THING SIT UNTIL I WAS SURE IT MUST BE DRY AND MADE SURE THE INNER FOAM WAS ALSO DRY (SOME INSULATION TYPE MATERIAL THEY SHOVED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SPEAKER CABINET, AWAY FROM THE SPEAKER COMPONENT ITSELF). DOESN'T MATTER. THEY STILL SOUND LIKE THEY ARE UNDERWATER. FRICKIN USELESS.I'M PRETTY DISGUSTED THAT THERE IS NO ABILITY TO GET SUPPORT OR SERVICE OR RETURN THESE THINGS. THEY'RE WORTHLESS AT THIS POINT. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. PUT A NICE SET OF SPEAKERS ON YOUR LANAI/PORCH, OUT FROM ANY RAIN, AND POINT THEM TOWARDS THE POOL. THAT'S WHAT I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO DO, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING I'M NOW OUT THE $229 PLUS THE ORIGINAL $200 OR SO FOR THE ABOVE-MENTIONED SOLAR STONE PIECES OF GARBAGE. JEEZ.

Ordered these "rock" speakers to place pool side. They just arrived yesterday so I will update my review if needed later. So far...they were easy to connect and place. First impressions...Love their look. They sound AMAZING. I was shocked. Connected an iPod and then a phone. I did notice that I cannot move the device providing the music more than about 15 ft away from the master speaker as the BT starts cutting out and the speakers start popping. The popping only occurs when the BT is cutting in and out. As long as the device providing the tunes stays close to the speakers, all is well! My concerns: While these are "outdoor" speakers, the insert that came with it says to keep them out of the direct elements. My speakers are straight up right out in the sun, rain, wind etc. I do plan on covering them when it rains however, I wish I didn't have to, and maybe I do not but I do not want to take that chance especially with what is written on the insert. I live in an extremely hot and humid area (in the summer)so I am curious to see how these hold up. The other concern I have, has to do with where the speaker wires connect to each other. The blue "waterproof caps"...will not do the trick. We will be purchasing something different but in the meantime, we are keeping our fingers crossed. If these last a few years, I will be SO happy but if I only get one season out of them, I will be really disappointed. An update in the fall..

Sound quality was just ok. Speakers must be turned up high in order to hear them at a distance of 30 feet. They look good but after using for about 25 times, one speaker no longer worked. Purchased by my wife ($162.00) for a father's day gift on june 12 2020. These were placed on my beam wall pool planter edge. When not in use we took them indoors. They were not subject to harsh conditions like rain, wind, or heat. Blue tooth connectivity is weak. I lost signal connection at about 40 feet, and if someone stood in the bluetooth line of sight the unit was basically blocked, and reception would stutter or disconnect. I cant reccomend this product. It worked ok for about 25 times and 2-4 hrs each time.

The good: The sound is surprisingly good at moderate levels. Decent bass and pretty detailed reproduction for a rock speaker. Volume available seems to be plenty for my pretty big front yard.The included power supply did not match the photos and seems to be upgraded from the junky ones people have complained about in the past.the misses:1) Bluetooth range is abysmal at best. We are talking a few feet. I have a very small porch both speakers are on. Step off the porch and it starts breaking up. My porch is maybe 6 feet wide by 4 foot deep. So I have to leave my phone on a chair on the porch. I have plenty of bluetooth speakers with far greater signal range.2) The speaker wires HAVE to be terminated in waterproof direct burial wire nuts. Instead of having connections on the bottom or back, they have 3 feet or so of wire hanging out the bottom that's glued in place. CHEAP design for sure. For $300 that's embarrassingly bad design.3) the included speaker wire in the box (not whats attached to the units) doesn't appear to be direct burial rated. The direct burial wire nuts are designed for use with solid wire, not stranded speaker wire. that was fun to get to work.4) As you turn up to the higher volumes on your phone the amp turns down the bass. Yes you lose low end to gain volume.5) ALWAYS ON! this should be the final nail in the coffin to the power version of these speakers. As long as its plugged in its on. There is no way to power it off. No switches, no bluetooth standby controls. nothing. You will need to have a smart outlet to turn them on and off.The verdict: I think OSD makes a great speaker, so next time I would buy the non-amplified ones for my applications. The bluetooth range is a joke, and I would not trust these wire nuts won't fail eventually. I also replaced the included speaker wire with a better quality one I had.This set limits your options for placement as the amp is on the left side (facing the speakers). I had to use a Meross outdoor smart plug to be able to turn them on and off. If you absolutely must have rock speakers, get the non-amplified ones and wire them to a receiver inside the house.

These speakers are awesome! They will blow you out of the water! I liked my first set so much, I bought another set. There are some common sense issues that one must pay attention to in order to preserve the quality of these speakers. Do not leave the speakers directly in the rain. They are not waterproof. If they are not under shelter, buy some faux rock covers and place them over the speakers when it rains.. This looks great, and protects your speakers against any water damage. If you live anywhere where it snows, take your speakers in for the winter. I never had a problem with the Bluetooth connectivity, of course you cannot walk far away with your device and expect to have great reception.For this price point you cannot beat the quality, you do not need a transmitter, and there is a built-in subwoofer. It seems to me there Has to be somebody complaining about everything. Just use common sense and follow instructions. I almost didn’t buy these because of those negative reviews, I am glad I did not pay attention and took a chance. Worst case scenario you can return them. Rock on!

The simplicity of setup, sound quality (maybe not Sonant quality for audiophobes, but great when cranked for pool party), looks, and integrated amp are fantastic. The best part about these are that they are "always on" as long as they have power. When you walk out the door and connect with bluetooth, you are ready to play a song - just that easy. If you need to switch phones with someone else (different playlist), you disconnect bluetooth, and they can immediately connect. At night, you can either kill the power or turn bluetooth off. No more streaming, no replicating playlists. They are great.

Commande conforme à la description, haut-paleurs très bien emballés et protégés. Bon son pour des haut-parleurs de 5.25''. Le seul point négatif est l'absence de connecteurs vissés et étanches pour les haut-parleurs. Le fil d'alimentation est pourtant muni d'un tel connecteur mais sans bouchon pour le protéger lorsqu'on le débranche. J'ai du acheter des connecteurs vissés étanches et les souder pour obtenir quelque chose de pratique. Les marettes avec silicone fournies sont inutiles, surtout si on veut débrancher les haut-parleurs pour les ranger et éviter de se faire voler les haut-parleurs.
