I wanted the Hamilton Intra-Matic but the 38mm was way too small and the larger version was way too big. This FC is just right!!

Beautiful watch with a classic, understated style but erratic timekeeping so unfortunately I am returning it. In 10 days of ownership it kept time within a minute (no second hand) for five of the days, but on five days it gained or lost several minutes overnight or even stopped completely. A watch of this caliber should not be so erratic. I would like replacement rather than a refund, but that doesn't seem to be an option

I love my new watch. Took me over a month of researching online and ended up taking a bit of a gamble on a Freddy Constant. Ordering through Amazon.co.uk was even better than expected - dispatched and delivered within a week, even though it has clearly come across from the States (and stated it could take 7-23 days). The watch even prettier in real life, much more slimline than the image would suggest. Also, 40mm screen does not look large at all (something I worried about). Truth be told, most dress watches are tiny/unisex as it is, and this is not far from that. Great automatic mechanism, clasp strap. Only con is perhaps the leather strap is not the thickest/perhaps not the highest grade leather. But the plan for me was always to upgrade to maybe a Hirsh strap in croc brown. Definitely check out images on watchuseek forums for a better look, Freddy Constant deserve their place in the "fine Swiss" category, without being ridiculously self-important (IWC). Would buy again via this means, saved me +/- £700.
