I was dubious since they are woven. Indeed, they are not waterproof at all. While the material used may be waterproof, the fact that they are woven allows water to go through the gaps. Still, the placemats are attractive and it's a good value if your main reason for wanting a placemat is to protect from scratches or heat. But I also want to protect my table from moisture condensation from water glasses and other spills. These won't protect from that. Also, the size of the placemat isn't quite what I wanted. I feel a 14 x 20 placemat is the best size for full coverage (harder to find, and less to choose from at that size). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful and nice *by S***H on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2019* A nice simple touch of excellence that is easy to clean. Very pretty and great for daily use but not over the top. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fancy *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2020* Great --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.is/products/92676452-tatkraft-first-table-placemats-set-6-coasters-and-6-placemats](https://www.desertcart.is/products/92676452-tatkraft-first-table-placemats-set-6-coasters-and-6-placemats) --- *Product available on Desertcart Iceland* *Store origin: IS* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
