Aqua Mix Grout Colorant - 8 oz Bottle - Black

I CHOSE THIS BLACK COLORANT PRODUCT BASED UPON OTHER REVIEWS AND TRIED IT ON A DIFFICULT JOB. I RESTORED 125 SQ. FT. OF A DARK GRAY 4 IN. SQUARE CERAMIC FLOOR THAT WAS IN BAD SHAPE AND WHICH HAD 1/4 IN.WHITE GROUT JOINTS THAT COULD NOT BE CLEANED. THE TOUGH PART OF THE JOB AND WAS LABOR INTENSIVE WAS THE REMOVAL OF THE COLORANT FROM THE TILE ITSELF. TRY AS YOU MAY, THE COLORANT WILL STILL GET ON THE TILE. IT IS BEST TO LET IT DRY FOR A FEW HOURS THEN TRY VARIOUS METHODS TO GET IT OFF. IT DOES COME OFF AND LEAVES THE GROUT LOOKING PERFECT. I DID THIS JOB ABOUT 5 OR 6 MONTHS AGO AND THE GROUT STILL LOOKS A DARK BLACK EXCEPT FOR A FEW SMALL AREAS THAT NEED A TOUCH UP, PROBABLY DUE TO MOISTURE COMING FROM UNDER THE SLAB. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT AND WOULD USE IT AGAIN.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I have charcoal black tiles and wanted the grout to be the same- charcoal black/black. I bought black grout but after a couple of washes it turned light gray which I disliked so much. When wet, the grout is black but when it dries it looked so dull. I gave it a try with this grout colorant and now I am finally satisfied. you don't need to buy no fancy brushes for it. I used my nephews paint brush and it did the job. I can't tell you exactly how well is comes of the tile itself because my tiles are black enough not to show, so you might want to do an area that stays covered first and then proceed with the rest. I am very pleased with the purchase and color doesn't seem to come out at all even when I clean with the steam mop. Will buy this again!

I installed 24" X 6" porcelain tile that looks like wood floor throughout the lower level of my house. After grouting with the suggested mocha colored sand less grout I was disappointed. The grout dried much lighter then I was expecting. I used this to stain the grout and I am very pleased. Very easy to use with minimal mess. Now the grout lines are dark black and makes the floor look more like a "real wood" floor. Pro Tip: Use a paper plate to hold the stain and a toothbrush to apply the stain while wiping the excess immediately after it starts to look like its drying.

We grouted the kitchen backsplash in light gray but it just did not look right with our counters so we decided to paint the grout. It took hours and hours to paint, wait to dry and then scrub the tiles. It was hard to wipe off once dry but the end result was worth it. It looks exactly how we wanted. Just a lot of work, be prepared. Lots of elbow grease needed.

It ruined my tile in my kitchen.. I have to spend a whole weekend trying to get this stuff off. Do not get this product! Its awful. Just seems like paint on top of my grout..

We have quarry tile installed 25 years ago. The tile is indestructible so it still looks like new but the black grout looked washed out and gray in places. I applied this on with a toothbrush with ease. I did not leave it on for the recommended amount of time because the quarry tile is porous and will absorb the color. 15-20 mins. worked fine and the black came off the tile fairly easy. I used a spray bottle of warm water and misted the 4x4 area after waiting the 15-20 mins. with a nylon scrub pad and then wiped the floor to clean off the excess with a clean damp cloth and then wiped it dry with a towel. The floor looks brand new. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to bring their tile floor back to its original state.
