Oh wow! Awesome!
Let me start by saying I have the original component cables and I would never let go of my previous set regardless of their high value now.....but my new tv doesn’t accept component, only HDMI. Picked this up hoping it was comparable and honestly I can’t tell the difference. The picture looks so good. Such a clear image. The GC has dated graphics but with this adapter they are super sharp and clear dated graphics. I wish they made an adapter for my wii. Definitely worth the price. The build quality is Nintendo level and it’s super sturdy.

Great product, too expensive
Amazing picture quality, no lag. However, it's priced waaaaay too high (-1 star)

It Works
I like it, it works well. I don't see any lag at all. It's secure in place which has been an issue for other products. Make sure you activate progressive mode on games that will allow it and things will look better.

If you want the best Gamecube experience, buy this.
Even in these modern times, with my PS4-spoiled eyes, I'm still blown away the graphics of the Gamecube. It's just amazing how well they hold up. Particularly, the water effects in Super Mario Sunshine and Star Fox Adventures easily rival and I daresay, outperform most any game today. This little beauty will make the Gamecube's library look better than you could imagine, and the games with P-scan, even more so. Sure, it's costly, but it's a small price to pay if you want the best possible Gamecube experience. After enjoying the crisp clarity this fine little device provides, I can't bring myself to play GC games any other way.

Worth the price
Makes the games look fantastic on modern TVs. It's plug and play pretty much so it can't be easier to install. If you want to play Gamecube games on HD TVs then this is for you. Don't let the price scare you. It's worth every penny.

Don’t doubt it, just get it.
What’s old is new again with this hdmi Adapter for your model 001 GameCube ( launch version ). Sold by EON and shipped by prime I received next day delivery. Kudos to EON for mass producing these. The main reason I’m writing this is I would like to see more products from this company. Secondly this product met and exceeded my expectations as a retro gamer enabling you to play one of the most underrated systems and game library’s that is almost 20 years old now. Simply put once this item runs its course in a few years and they stop making it you’ll be paying a lot more than 150 for it just like trying to get a frameister now a days.

Some weird comments about this one. The circuitry in this does accept an interlaced signal coming from the GameCube, and does by default a (pretty primitive) line doubling to technically output a 480p/576p signal to your TV. Personally I rather have my TV handle the interlaced signal and thankfully you can change the settings in the adapter to just passthrough 480i/576i to the TV instead. Bottom line is that your TV must support either a 480p/576p or 480i/576i signal from HDMI or you'll need another converter box. There is no real upscaling supported other than the simple line doubler. It does look significantly better for me than the official EU SCART cable. No more analog artefacts. Just a nice clean digital picture.

Expensive ? : Yes. Worth it ? : Every penny invested here is worth if you value your GC and its game library and want HDMI. If you do not need the additonnal video output on the back, then you can try getting the first version for a little cheaper.

GCのゲームをHDMI接続できて音を光出力できる、ひたすらに最高。 難点は高いことだけ、そこさえ問題なければGCのゲームを最高に楽しめる。

Works on any game with progressive scan which doesn't include many pal games that said it's still a good product
