Free SO2 Test Kit

I love Accuvin's TA and Malic Acid tests and can corroborate values with other tests/methods; however, not this free SO2 test. The end point colors against the range are not specific and confusing. I've tried high and low range and they don't correlate with other test kits even one I sent to a wine lab. Sorry to be holder of bad news but at least for red wine (late harvest syrah this test kit is useless.

Disappointed on the short expiration date. Purchased Mar 21, 2025. The expiration date is Oct 30, 2025.

I have no way of double checking it's accuracy, but this appears to be a very well designed product that produces the same results with far less cost and trouble than other products designed to do the same thing. It comes with clear, step-by-step that make it very easy to use.

Pretty easy to use. It told me what I needed to know...namely that I needed to add sulfite! Home wine makers must know how much sulfite is in the wine, and this kit does exactly that. I think the makers should eliminate one of the two colors of caps because it added a bit of confusion. (The kit comes with 10 tests...some of them have a red cap and some have a green cap but they are the same.) What else is there to say?

The test kit gives an approximate SO2 level at a much lower cost than more accurate test methods that require fairly expensive equipment. It is somewhat difficult to match the colors. A more graduated scale would be helpful since the colors did not match that well to my wine.

It is good to try to offer a less expensive so2 test kit, but the color shades on the results sheet are not different enough to allow any meaningful test result other than 'none detected' and 'some is present.'

I used this to test my white wine. Seemed to work well, although I have nothing to compare it to. Comes with enough supplies to run a bunch of tests. Seems a little pricey, for what you get, though.

Extremely easy to use, allowed me to make the proper SO2 adjustments to insure the quality of my wine.
