It’s flexible but sturdy, and the size is great for carrying to church or small groups. Study Features The book introductions and 44 charts are super helpful for quick reference. The study notes speak directly to men’s challenges—career, relationships, faith, and integrity. Readability The NLT translation flows naturally, making it easy to read and understand. The font is clear, and the layout keeps things organized without feeling cluttered. Excellent Bible for any man who wants to truly understand Scripture and grow closer to Jesus Christ. The NLT is very easy to read, and the notes provide great insight and guidance for study. I’m very glad I chose this Bible.

I’m very happy with this Bible. The NLT translation is easy to read, and the added study notes and features are really helpful. The deluxe edition looks and feels high-quality. Definitely a great choice for personal study or daily reading.

I’m a bit of a Bible geek. I like to subtly (and not-so-subtly) evangelize by giving high-end Bibles as gifts. In my humble opinion, the NLT translation is the best translation for most new believers. It is marginally easier and more beautiful than the NIV, but every little bit helps. I believe people are more likely to read the Bible if it’s an easier read, and it holds their attention. I only give the KJV or NASB translation to Christians who are mature in their faith, or to the scholarly types who would be bored with reading too easy of a translation. Like a set of tools, I give a certain Bible for a person that I believe it would work best for. I found the following Bibles to be the best gifts for the following situations: Comic book Bibles (like the Action Bible or Kingstone trilogy) are my first pick for teenage guys, although they don’t take the place of a real Bible. Every Man’s Bible will be my next pick. Teen Life Application Study Bible for Teenage Girls NIrV Adventure Bible for young kids, or kids where English isn’t their first language Application Bibles rather than Study Bibles for new believers (the NLT Life Application Study Bible is more of an application Bible than a Study Bible and I believe it’s ideal for a new believer). Every Man’s Bible NLT Translation is my second pick for male new believers. Life Recovery Bible with the workbook to friends who are struggling with addictions, or are in and out of jail. King James Study Bible (full color with pictures) by Thomas Nelson for someone who is already mature in their faith, or the Zondervan Bible handbook. Orthodox Study Bible if they’re interested in ancient Christianity. Douay Rheims Study Bible if they’re Catholic. I recommend those for Protestants too even if they disagree with the traditions. It’s obviously not the cover that counts, but I do believe someone is more likely to read the Bible if it has a fancy cover. I usually get them the high-end imitation leather rather than softcover or hardcover. The following are where I feel Every Man’s Bible has shortcomings: Words of Christ aren’t in red. It would be nice to have some more devotionals in it. In 2020, I believe it’s time for Bibles to be full-color. Maybe have some pictures in the footnotes also. I’d pay more for to have a Bible indexed. I like to be aware of having several contributors. If there is only one author doing the majority of the contributions, I feel there is less of a counter-balance. I’m not that superficial about the minor details. I have an MBA in marketing and I try and use what I learned about marketing and “packaging” to spread Christianity. The footnotes are excellent! There is just the right amount (not too many) to highlight key points. If a reader wants to go more in depth, they can use a study Bible, Bible handbook, or commentary. Overall, I love this Bible!

Very nice leather, words easy to read and all the notes make bible study much easier….. so words are changed and changes the whole meaning but I think that’s more of a NLT version issue than the man’s bible issue

Beautiful and good quality book—with helpful commentary. Excellent choice for any man who wants to grow in his faith and walk with God. Bought as gifts for my brother and brother-in-law for Christmas.

I haven’t picked up the Bible I had as a kid in ages. I remember reading through it a short while ago and saw how dense it was and in trying to find passages to help me, I found myself having to flip between the internet and the Bible in order to find the right texts I was looking for. A friend of mine recommended this one and it answered my prayers for a Bible that feels tailored to help me with the big questions I’ve had. It has a section at the front of the book with recommended texts that deal with just about every aspect a man goes through in life. Life, love, death, marriage, stress, all of that. It’s helped me find my faith in the texts that guided me as a kid. Not only that, but there’s so much added context at the beginning of each book and footnotes to help explain what’s going on and how it can be applied to you.

This Bible is so nice. So easy to read and understand. Lots of information provided. I bought this for my husband and now I want one, too!!

The only weakness is the paper that is delicate, but I am 100% satisfied with the Bible, the comments and texts that follows are perfect and very useful interpretation of the Bible
