A great bridge between gaming and reading! - My son absolutely loves these books!!! He's actually a pretty good reader to the point where he was getting bored. Concerned he'd get out of practice, I found these books before Christmas and he's now on the fourth book in just a month( and re-read books one and two twice before getting three and four for his birthday Jan19)! We're already eagerly awaiting book five. It's so great to find a children's chapter book that captivates what so many kids are passionate about. Review: A winning series! - I bought my very picky, just turned 8-years-old grandson the first three books of this series for his birthday. It’s usually hit and miss with him BUT he loves them and has read all 3 in the last month! He even indicated he’d like to read the next books in the series. Yeah!

Absolutely recommend!
My son LOVES these books! He's 7, going into the second grade next month, and is a great reader in general. He loves these books and has just about finished the series. He reads about 3/4 chapters in 20 minutes so he's finished each book in just a couple sittings but he's even reread parts whole waiting for the next to be delivered. I definitely recommend for young readers!

Awesome Book
Bought this book for my son who hates reading so finding material he like seem impossible at times. I'm proud to say my son has read all three volumes of Trapped in a Video game. Everyday when i get home from work he explain the story and wants me to buy more of them. I will definitely buy more books from this author.

Great for 5th Grade
I bought this for a 5th grade student. He was so excited because of it being about robots. I wanted to get a book where he could be successful reading it independently over the summer.

Action-packed ...with LOTS of robots!
As with the first two installments in this series, I finished this quickly -- the reading level is clearly aimed at late-elementary and tween readers. It somehow managed to offer even more action than the prior volumes, though I'm grateful for the moments that allowed me a breather. It picked up immediately from Book 2's ominous cliffhanger; but here, instead of a PokemonGo take, the focus was robots -- not just giants, but sizes ranging down to that of insects. Speaking of which, I appreciated how a newcomer brought in a presence that nearly reminded me of BB-8 from "Star Wars." Not only that, it was refreshing for me to see another introduction break the, shall we say, boy-centric tone of the series. One instance of raw, lonely despair was unexpected -- I'd almost deem it a bit risky for kid-oriented literature. Yet I welcomed it because it injected a dose of realism to all the sci-fi/fantasy goings-on.

My 10 (almost 11) year old loves this series and I have to admit, I love reading them to him! The stories are exciting and we always want to keep reading at the end of every chapter. We love Dustin Brady’s writing style. Highly recommend!
