Easy to install, provides excellent lighting

I used this fixture to replace an existing bare 150 watt equivalent LED light bulb at the bottom of my basement steps to reduce the "glare." The opaque lens covering and low silhouette did exactly that, very bright light, but not in your face. In addition, this flush mount ceiling light was very easy to install and connect to the existing electrical box. The connecting wires are only 18 gauge, but that is not a problem since the current needed to power the LEDs is so low (~0.15 amps). Best of all, the price is very reasonable for such an efficient and bright light compared to similar light fixtures at the big box stores.

Bright and easy to install.

This is an attractive, inexpensive lighting fixture suitable for hallways, staircases, closets and similar areas. It provides lots of light for its 18 watts. Purchasers should be aware that this is an international product not designed for the U.S. market. It operates on AC voltages from 100 to 277. It is not UL listed (but does carry the CE marking indicating conformity to European Economic Area standards). The fixture snaps onto a metal bracket which is intended to be mounted directly to the ceiling or wall, not to an electrical box. The slots on the metal mounting bracket do not accommodate the standard 2-3/4” screw spacing found on common U.S. ceiling boxes. You can drill holes to enable box mounting. You’ll need to provide lengths of black and white stranded wire to provide pigtails for connecting the fixture to the supply wires in your box. (The fixture is all plastic and there is no provision or need for a grounding wire.) The directions are not clear on how to attach the pigtails to the fixture. You lift up the tabs on the connector, insert the pigtails (stripped of insulation) carefully into the receptacle, and then push the tabs back down. Then install the connector cover with the tiny screw provided. It’s a nifty product but I gave it 4 stars because it presents installation challenges to Americans.

UPDATE: This burned out within 3 months, I'm changing my review to 1 star. My original review is below. ORIGINAL REVIEW (pointless for a product that died so quickly) I really liked this light, but first a quick warning - it has no screw terminals for wiring, only push-connectors. If you have stranded wire, you'll need to tin the end or crimp on a post. It's fast and easy with great results but don't get surprised. I have stranded wire and tinned the ends with my soldering iron in a minute or two and it worked beautifully. This is a great light packing clean, bright, glare free light into a compact package with an installation method that's versatile and efficient. A metal bracket on the back of the light releases with a recessed spring clip so you screw the bracket to the wall/ceiling and then just clip the light to it. It attaches firmly and securely with no wiggle but can be removed if you ever need to (like for painting). I also liked how compact this is, it's small enough to fit inside my 16" circular fluorescent fixture so when the ballast wore out I removed the ballast and bulb and installed this inside. The fixture still matches the others in my house but now it's LED for more light with less electricity and no mercury filled glass bulbs! I'm very happy with the 2 I bought and will buy more against the day when my other circular florescent lights start to go. UPDATE: No, I won't, this burned out so fast I will chose a different brand!

Works , wires are too short, for a ceiling light. Wire connector it comes with doest work, wire nuts come with. way too small.better not have anything below the light. Its just bear to put up. BUT I did it alone with Parkinson. Maybe it was me.

Las lámparas son super fáciles de instalar, se ven muy bien. Compre 10 para toda mi casa y todas funcionan perfecto. La luz que emiten es suave con los ojos, pero muy bien definida, mi elección fue la temperatura calidad y dan un ambiente de mucha armonía. 100% recomendable.

Bonita. Facil de instalar. Por el precio esperaba mucho mas. No ilumina lo suficiente . Empezo a fallar a las 3 semanas.

Se ve muy bien e ilumina muy muy bien, pero después de 4 años de uso, ya se fundió. Quizás parezca que rindió lo suficiente, sin embargo, renové al mismo tiempo todos los focos de mi casa por lámparas y focos led, y hasta ahora, está lámpara es la única que se ha fundido. Lo que me deja claro que no tiene buena durabilidad comparadas con otros productos led. Cómo no tiene repuesto, tuve que comprar otra lámpara. Ahora probaré con otra marca.

Este producto si cumplió con mis expectativas, fácil en su instalación, alumbra muy bien. Se recomienda este producto.
