I’m updating a previous review: the seller reached out to offer a free replacement ( even though Amazon gave me a refund). The replacement was kind of cool! It does work. I’m not sure what happened to the first one.. but it’s motion activated and repeats what you say. I will have to say children love this hamster! So, I give this new one five stars. It only actives with motion. It repeats what is said in a funny voice. I have it to a friends 5 y/o and she loved it. For the price it’s a good deal bc it entertains kids & some adults too! I would give this zero stars. It’s a cheap toy! I don’t know if I received a used toy or if these are so cheap & defective that it never worked. The clothing was only halfway adhered to the toy. Honestly I’m surprised Amazon allowed this thing to be advertised for sell on their platform. I’ve seen reviews that recommend this but I had a totally different experience. Amazon did refund me but to my surprise ( for the price & condition) they insisted I send it back. I thought it wasn’t worth their time and money. There was absolutely no quality check on this one. I would highly recommend a hard pass on this toy it’s not worth the hassle.

The hamster is absolutely adorable and so soft. The box it came in was crushed and opened. Makes it very difficult to gift it. Wish it came in an Amazon box and not envelope, to prevent it from being damaged. It’s a fun toy and the kids love them.

This little guy is hysterical! I bought it for a friend of mine's three-year-old grandson. I put in the batteries and at first it skipped a few sounds and I wasn't sure if it was going to work. Though since I've made this video it's working fine . I don't know if it will last and I hope it lasts at least a season. But it's really fun and actually tickles the funny bone. For the price (and of course you have to add the three AAAs), it's probably a great secret Santa gift also. It tickled me so much I'm very prone to thinking I want to gift this to a couple of people just for fun.

My toddler got a kick out of it, but I found it kinda loud and a little creepy. It cut off the beginning of what you were saying and was very hard to understand. Mostly it was too obnoxious to keep around long. The little hat/scarf wasn’t attached and quickly got lost.

A real disappointment!! This item arrived broken. Would not talk, just made an awful noise. The base was broken also.

I love this hamster. I had bought it first as a gift for my niece. I loved it and bought it again for myself. When people visit I turn it on and everyone gets a laugh and loves it. My class also loves it. They want me to bring it to school every day. Go and get one. Fun lil toy to lighten the mood.

These are so cute and so much fun to play with. They make us all laugh and my kids love them. Lots if fun for a long time. They sound like little chipmunks repeating everything you say. The hat and scarf come off as well. Good price, kids are happy. They work well, they do repeat what you say. Seem quite durable. Highly recommend.
