This results is, the strap will not cover the ear on the left side. This is VERY uncomfortable and poorly designed, I had a few different (experienced riders) looked at this helmet as well, its a significant design issue. If your head is the basic shape of the shell, you can adjust it to "just right" and be happy in this helmet for as long as you are riding your horse. It is a little heavier on my head than my last IRH helmet, but I love the fit.
