Good blades and worth the price!
Like so many others, I ordered these blades to see if they would be a better value for me than the expensive cartridges (Gillette Mach 3 Turbo) I had been purchasing. I have extremely sensitive skin on my neck and thick, coarse hair, and I can really only get three shaves out of a cartridge before I start to get noticeably irritated from shaving. I have to shave daily, and I shave at night in order to give my neck maximum time to recover before putting a dress shirt and tie on the next day. I had been using Gillette Mach 3 Turbo and paying plenty for it, so I thought I would test out the two-blade system hoping for even less irritation and at a really good price. Here's what I thought: Positives: 1. The price. You really can't beat it. Even at Costco, I was still paying more than $2 per cartridge. Here? Almost half that. 2. Quality. On the fourth shave, I started to notice a deterioration in the quality of the shave, but I still managed to get a shave out of it with minimal irritation. This puts it on par with the Gillette Mach 3 Turbo blades for blade quality, as far as I'm concerned. (Temporary) Negative: 1. Lightness of the cartridge+handle: The handle is made of plastic, and both it and the cartridges are noticeably lighter. As a result, my first two shaves resulted in several nicks and irritation. But, stay the course! By the third shave, I had adjusted to the feel of the handle. So, that negative was only temporary in nature. In summary, I highly recommend these blades. It will take a little time to get used to the feel of the new handle and blades, but stick it through. They are great, quality blades, and even guys like me can get a good shave with minimal irritation.

In my opinion the extra blades didn't give me a better, closer shave as advertised
I've been shaving with a Gillette Sensor Excel 2 blade razor for probably 15-20 years now. I've tried every other brand in the stores, and have tried 3/4/5 blade razors, but I've always gone back to the Gillette. In my opinion the extra blades didn't give me a better, closer shave as advertised. Over the years the price of replacement blades have risen to over $20 for a pack of 5 replacement blades. This is the epitome of the "razor blade game". I had seen the commercials for the dollar shave club, but I wasn't interested in getting new blades every month whether I needed them or not. I have a beard, so I only need to shave my neck. After digging around I discovered that Dorco supplied Dollar Shave Club with the razor blades and handles they sold. A few friends of mine were DSC members and raved about the products. I figured for the price I'd give the Dorco razors a try. I'm SO HAPPY that I did! This razor shaves as good, if not better than the Gillette I've been using all these years, at 1/3 the price. I'm throwing away my Sensor razor for good. The handle is plastic, but not a cheesey feeling plastic. The blade attaches easily, and comes off easily. Just shaving my neck I probably get a good 8/9 uses out of each blade. This package comes with 10 blades if I remember correctly, and I've still got 3 blades left. I only shave 3x a week, so I probably have 5/6 weeks worth of shaving before I'll need to buy replacement cartridges (unless the wife uses the razor). I'm extremely happy with this product. My skin is sensitive, and cheap razors will shred my face up, I'll break out, and will cut my face to ribbons. The dorco didn't do that at all. The shave is smooth and clean. No nicks at all, even around the trouble areas like my Adams apple. The shave is good going with and against the grain. I don't have to go over parts of my neck repeatedly to get all the hair shaved. My wife even commented that I looked a little more clean cut after using the Dorco. Why only 4 stars for a product that I'm obviously thrilled with? Well, dorco sells 2 to 6 blade razor cartridges. Any 3 blade to 6 blade cartridge fits any other dorco handle EXCEPT the 2 blade handle. So if you bought a 6 blade system but wanted to try the 4 or 5 blade razor you could just buy the cartridge and it would fit the 6 blade handle you have already. But if you get the 2 blade handle like I have and wanted to try the 4 blade cartridge. I'll have to buy a whole new handle to go along with the new razor blades. While I am thrilled with the shave I get, and the price I'm paying, I did have to ding them for that issue. If you want a GREAT SHAVE at HALF (or more) what you are paying for the big name brand razors, buy this shaving system. You will NOT regret that decision - I promise.

Breaks easily
I was satisfied with the product until I went change the blade the first time. As experienced by at least a couple of reviewers, the blade would not stay attached to the handle. First, it was a bit difficult (at least for my eyes) to see exactly where/how the blade attached to the handle. Once I figured it out and thought it was secure, when I went to use it, the blade quickly fell off. I tried several times with the same result. Then I noticed that the piece the spring pushes on had fallen off and the button was no longer spring actuated. In order to get a shave (since this is the only razor I currently have), I had to put the blade in, then try to hold down the button so that the blade stayed put, while awkwardly drawing the blade across my chin. I'm off to buy another more well known brand. Too bad that I have all these extra blades.

Good blade, amazing: never once cut me in almost a year!
These have worked very well. THe sharpness is good, though not quite up to my standard (which is some NOS Gillette Trac II blades that I use when my beard has really grown out too much). What's very impressive is that after almost a year of use, these blades have never once cut me. I think that is because there's a unique feature in the blade design: they metal is curved. The cutting edge is straight, of course, but the metal curves up and away from the face as you move away from the edge. This does two things: 1. it facilitates keeping the blades clear of debris, as only the cutting edges are close together, and everywhere else the blades have an increasingly large gap. and 2. with this curvature, the blades are undoubtedly more rigid, which I bet is why they have not cut me. I'm not totally sure of the physics/engineering here, but I suppose that flat, planar blades can flex a little bit (on a microscopic level) as you shave, and this might contribute to occasional cuts. These Dorcos are not going to flex like that - the curvature of the blade is going to make it extremely rigid in the up and down direction (normal to your skin; nearer or farther from your skin). I recently discovered some aftermarket clone Trac II blades that are even better in sharpness. Currently testing those. By the way, I've always thought twin blade cartridges are the ideal for personal shaving - just like two wheels is the ideal for personal wheeled transport: bicycles or motorcycles. Whatever advantages you get from more blades than two, are offset by higher cost and convenience/comfort. I think the push for more blades is just marketing to allow the manufacturer to sell you more metal! In the worst case: the 3+ bladed shavers will give you less sharpness, because in the heat of price competition, something must give... surely the most costly part of the shaver is the sharpening of the blade. It is more economical to make two blades very sharp, than to make three blades so-so sharp. Which would you rather have? Then, the 3+ bladed shavers are much harder to drag through your beard, and less comfortable. Theoretically, they might give you a closer shave on the first pass... but I've always found them harder to shave with. I just don't buy it. Two blades is perfect.

Fine for the price
Fine for the price, but the cartridge is not attached to the handle very well and falls off kind of easily. Ironically, I bought these to replace my old Pace because it had become too stiff and was almost impossible to detach the cartridges when it was time to change them. For the price, I can't really complain, but if you're deciding which Dorco razor to buy I would really go with the Pace. EDIT: Was contacted by the seller because of my review and offered a full refund, which is a really nice touch. The razors are still perfectly useable if you're a little careful with them, and give a good shave, so I don't feel comfortable accepting, but the gesture was appreciated.

The best disposable I've ever tried!
I typically use an old fashion safety razor at home but when I travel I like to take just a carry-on, so razor blades won't fly (pun intended). The Dorco Comfort Thin II has become my go-to disposable for travel over about the past two years. When I travel I bring a Dorco, badger brush and my favorite shaving soap. When I first tried the Dorco my initial thought was: "wow, this feels like a typical cheap discount plastic razor". It is of course much lighter than my stainless steel safety, but I was pleasantly surprised when I brought it on my first trip. I have sensitive skin and an angular (hard-to-shave) jaw with chaotic hair direction - which is prone to nicks with many razors I have tried (i.e. why I switched to a traditional safety in the first place). I typically get a week out of each Dorco blade cartridge without any nicks, which - especially at this price - is awesome! I find the two-blade cartridges provide a smooth and close shave and the only tricky part is shaving the upper lib near my nose, but this is to be expected with multi-blade systems so this is not a complaint. Overall I find shaving with the Dorco efficient and comfortable. My only issue is the handle is a bit cheap and I have had the handle's white release switch snap off while the razor tumbled around in my luggage. This didn't affect shaving but it was particularly frustrating when it came time to switch cartridges and I had to fiddle around with the tip of a key or screwdriver to get it to release the old cartridge. I'm not docking a star for this because it only happened once (so far) and had no impact on shaving (unfortunately it happened half-way through my first set of blades, so I had to deal with it for several trips). I believe the shaving performance for a disposable outweighs this negative. I believe anyone looking for a new disposable system should definitely try this one out. The cost is very reasonable and performance of the blades, given the price, is pretty stellar in my opinion.

Poor Quality Chinese garbage Not worth the Savings in $
Updated October 25, 2015. After my initial review of the single and double blade razors and cartridges, Dorco contacted me. They gave me a full refund and offered their 4 and 6 blade razors for me to try. I must say Dorco's customer service was EXCELLENT! I don't know of another company that would have done as much to make sure I was satisfied. I have used the 4 and 6 blade razors for about 6 weeks now. They are both a Tremendous improvement. The 6 blade is very good and gives me a close comfortable shave. It did take a few shaves to adjust to it as I have sensitive skin. I am using them both now and will continue. Thank you Dorco for the Great customer service! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Poor quality Chinese garbage. Hence the cheaper costs. I don't have a heavy beard and these razors are good for one time uses just like the poor quality garbage disposable one time use razors in any retail store. If you like cutting your face up and not getting a close shave then these razors are for you. Now I know why the premium razor blades cost $20 to $40 for for 5 or 10 cartridges. There is no comparison to the close shave and multiple uses that I get with the Premium brands.

Gets the job done...TheGroupDeal customer service is excellent.
I have updated the stars for this product based on the sellers excellent customer service. Lea, a rep from TheGroupDeal, reached out to me twice to try and make me satisfied with this purchase. ..even though I purchased a different dorco razor from them and gave it an excellent review. The first comment from Lea, I ignored. ..then when a few months later, she left a comment again and I decided to give them an opportunity to make me satisfied with this purchase. In short they made me believe in their products 100% because of their excellent customer service. TheGroupDeal offered me a refund on this purchase but I declined because as I said they get the job done but there are better choices for me such as the Dorco 4 blade or 6 blade models since I do have extremely tough facial hair. I wanted to keep the two blade for body parts that aren't nearly as tough and where more than 2 blades would be overkill or very irritating. It is great to see a company stand behind their products so vigilantly. TheGroupDeal and Lea, thank you for the complimentary trial of the 6 blade razor...I will be sure to leave a review for that when I finally use it. I still have so many 4 blade dorco cartridges left, they last so long. I know dorco is the maker of the razors for the dollar shave club, so I wanted to give the razor a try. I was not impressed with the razor. It did its job, just make sure you use a high end shave cream. I used a regular shave gel and cut myself quite a few times. I will use these in a pinch, but these are on par with a Gillette twin blade disposable...which is not to say that it's bad, just not great and I don't see what all the fuss is about.
