The sound quality is just Soooo different, the sound it makes when you lift up the arm and place it on the record, the way it crackles and pops on the record from the small dust particles, but the music is just so lovely when listening to it through a record player, it makes you feel “alive” and for me brings back some good old memories :) The Portable unit came in a faux baby blue leather case with chrome accent features which gave it a look from the 80’s. I was born in the very late 1970 (cough) and my entire family listened to vinyl records so I was Very excited to see how well they have come along in sound and designed.
