I love this candle so far. I haven't had it for long but the crackle is amazing and the flame is beautiful. There's a good scent throw too. We both like the smell of it but neither of us think it smells very much like woodsmoke... I kind of get a hint of it but both of us mostly smell vanilla. If you like the idea of a slightly woody/smokey vanilla scent, I think you'd like this.

This thing has plenty of burn time. It smells great (like a slightly musky fireside with a little sweetness) it's easy to use/manage and it doesn't just kick you in the face like some candles do. For years I just thought smelly candles just smelled like...walking by a candle shop. I had no interest in wasting money on something I thought was a gimmick. Then I moved into a new house and wanted something that didn't smell like paint or plaster. I decided to bite the bullet and bought this. For some people, a low saturation is not desirable, but for someone like me - I want something that I can only faintly detect but when I do smell it, it smells like warmth and home.

I love the crackle on this, and the smell is lovely. I’d say, it isn’t particularly strong smelling, which I don’t mind too much but some might prefer something stronger. Oh - and because you can’t adjust the wick (it’s made of wood...) it burns unevenly, leaving a ring of wax at the edges. That said, i will be buying again as it’s a lovely little crackling candle and a smashing wintery addition to my home office!

These candles are very good quality. They are not cheap but they last a long time and the fragrance permeates the house. I love the crackle sound made by the wick too. I have now bought them for family members who also rate them highly.

I love the woodwick candles no problems with any I’m onto my second one already I think I’ve found my obsession! The smell is lovely not over powering the candle looks very trendy and the crackle makes it feel like you are by the fire side. The only real issue I had was advised to extinguish using the wooden lid I done so and the rubber around the ring somehow must have burnt as I could smell burning rubber for hours after I extinguished it I’ve now been advised just to blow it out

My husband and I love it, we live in a flat without fireplace and this is the closest we can get in terms of soft crackling sounds and a very pleasant wood smell. I gifted one to my parents in laws and it is one of the few candles I wil actually finish entirely, I plan on buying another when it ends!

FAZIT: Man bekommt hier für sein Geld eine gut brennende Kerze mit einem für mich neuen Feature: Dem Knistern des Dochts. Mir gefällt es und auch der Geruch ist langanhaltend, stark und angenehm. Für mich ist es das Geld wert gewesen. Wer seine Kerzen hingegen nur kurz anhat, für den eignet sich wahrscheinlich eine kleinere Kerze besser. Vorweg, wem WoodWick genau so wenig etwas sagt wie mir vorher - es handelt sich hierbei um eine Marke, die entweder selbst von Yankee Candle kommt oder von ihnen vertrieben wird. Auf jeden Fall steht die gleiche Kompetenz dahinter wurde mir im Yankee Fachgeschäft gesagt. +++ Positiv +++ + Optik + Schweres, sauberes Glas und ein Holzdeckel aus dunklem Holz, dazu ein hochwertiger Aufkleber mit der Typbezeichnung. Hier waren Leute am Werk, die viel Wert auf die äußere Aufmachung gelegt haben. Macht sich auch nach dem Brennen sehr gut in der Wohnung. + Anzünden + Geht absolut problemlos und dauerte bei mir keine 3 Sekunden. Die Flamme springt vom Feuerzeug / Streichholz sofort auf den Holzdocht über und ging bei mir dann auch nicht mehr von alleine aus. + Geruch + Natürlich subjektiv. Die Duftrichtung "WoodSmoke" ähnelt ein wenig dem klassischen Kaminfeuer. Holzige Noten und der Geruch von Glut füllen den Raum und halten sich extrem lang. Was mich auch begeistert hat ist die Tatsache, dass bei jedem Anmachen die selbe intensive Geruchswelt aus der Kerze kommt - es nimmt mit der Zeit also nicht merklich ab. + Knistern + Eines der wirklich überraschenden Sachen an dieser Kerze. Ich war skeptisch wie sich das Knistern anhört, konnte mir nichts darunter vorstellen. Aber es geht schon mit dem Anzünden los, dass sich ein recht lautes Knistern entwickelt und dann dauerhaft hörbar ist. Es ist nicht sonderlich laut, etwa vergleichbar mit leisem Sprechen, aber doch hörbar auch wenn man nicht direkt daneben steht. Es ist auch etwas schneller im Knistern als es ein Lagerfeuer oder ein Kamin wäre, aber trotzdem sehr schön anzuhören. ### Neutral ### # Wachsverhalten # Schwer zu beschrieben, aber es dauert recht lange, bis das gesamte Wachs durch das Brennen flüssig geworden ist. Bedingt durch die große Oberfläche der breiten Kerze (und trotz des breiten Dochts). Wer nur mal für eine halbe Stunde so eine Kerze braucht, dem empfehle ich die kleineren Varianten mit weniger Oberfläche. Denn ansonsten entwickelt sich schnell ein Kerzenkanal, bei dem wertvolles Wachs am Rand stehen bleibt und nicht mehr durch die Kerze selbst verbrannt werden kann. --- Negativ --- ./.

There are some air bubbles in the wax so I'm guessing it was that much cheaper because of the production defect but it wasn't a problem at all
