Good polish

my dad & a bunch of coworker recommended this brand of shoes polish to me, & man it made shining my boots for correctional work a lot easier & faster! love how its already smooth & ready to go on & i didnt have to put a lighter to it to melt it like i had to with Angelus brand. see why military ppl use it!

Polish is nice and smooth! The only reason I did not give it 5 starts is because Kiwi removed the lever that made opening the can easy. It took me way to long to open the can.

I just received this product and was also surprised that the classic key device to open the can was not present anymore. I also read about many people here becoming frustrated from not being able to get the tin open. I have to confess I was one of those people, dismayed at trying to open this can too until... I calmed myself down and took a good look at the tin and only after some contemplation, figured out how to open it. Here's how to open the tin: On the top surface of the lid, just below the red circle logo is the word "Press" and then the lightbulb went off in my head that all I needed to do was to simply "Press" the lid right there with my thumb and middle finger and the lid popped off in less than a second. There was no spinning key to fiddle with to help pry the lid off of the tin. So simple and it taught me that I need to slow down and start reading simple instructions instead of reacting so quickly. For those reading this all you have to do is scrool to the top of this item to see where the word "Press" is located in the illustration. I hope this information is helpful.

Hard to open, not as good as it used to be.

This is the only place where I can seem to find this shoes polish. Its quite effective,durability, color, and great value for the money.

Worth the money! Kiwi polishes by far superior to other brands

This is definitely not the same KIWI shoe polish I have been using for the last 45 years. Perhaps it is because SC Johnson acquired the brand a few years ago? At any rate the can showed up today. It is about the size of a half dollar; I cannot open it because the can no longer has a "key" on the side of it. The bottom of the can has a date on it which leads me to believe that it expired last year, and most importantly the item CANNOT BE RETURNED. This is not the product I spit-shined my combat boots with many years ago. Hey SCJ, greed doesn't always pay when your cost-cutting measures lead to the loss of lifelong customers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK!!

Nice quality.

Great shoe polish, gives a nice high gloss shine while also blackening and protecting my combat boots. Only thing I must say about it is that it has a petroleum smell...
