Bachelor Pad Economics: The Financial Advice Bible for Men Review: I Wish I Read This In High School - I was first aware of this book because it was represented as the basis for some MGTOW videos I watched on YouTube. I went ahead and sampled the introduction, and I found that the author presented a lot of things I could agree with. I thought that if he and I have similar opinions on the same material, perhaps he did some leg work for me and I can just read up on what he already laid out. This is precisely what happened. It was a nice, casual read, and an eye-opener. It applies for young men as well as men like me approaching their 40s. I disagree with the author on some of the points he made, but I'm the type of guy who looks to continue to benefit from other people's thoughts even when I disagree with a few others they have presented. My favorite part was where he confirmed something I had already come up with independently on my own. I was unsure of my determination that Western women as a whole are low-quality people, but that was my theory. When I read his analysis of women, it sent shockwaves through me because it validated my own thoughts. It's easy to doubt yourself when you disparage an entire sex of an entire nation. When I read about his experiences and saw how they paralleled my own limited dating experiences, I felt like I'm not alone on this planet. And reading about his other experiences helped me understand my own role in the world. I'm sort of following in his footsteps in some ways. I'm an interesting bachelor with a large and growing skill set. I have a very exciting life. And despite my own feelings about women, like him I haven't completely given up on finding someone special. This "most interesting man in the world" legend is based on a social role a man can enter into if his behaviors match the MGTOW bachelor that he is teaching you to become. He's teaching you common sense. He's teaching you how not to screw up. So sit back, learn from the guy, and enjoy a good, sloppy read straight from his heart complete with the spelling and grammar mistakes that prove it's both authentic and genuine, and not a polished team effort from a publisher trying to make sure not to offend anyone. Review: Better Late Than Never! - Have you ever said [or heard] the lament: "I wish life came with an instruction manual!"? Well, here it is. Aaron Clarey delivers an excellent guidebook detailing how to navigate the minefield we call life. At least from the male perspective. Which is the point. Women get way too much [mis]information, while men get nothing. And who's fault is this? Men's. We've never taken women's issues seriously, thus ignoring the threat of feminism. And since we're naturally competitive we NEVER share helpful information with other men, nor do we band together and strategize. So after 50 years of leftist and feminist policies running the show, we find ourselves in dire straits, both nationally and privately. But enough of MY laments. Let's talk about this book. While no ONE book can ever tell you everything you need to know about Life, the Universe and Everything, Bachelor Pad Economics manages to be a great primer and guide to at least get you thinking and walking down the right path[s]. Should you build a library of such books, THEN you might have Everything You Need To Know. Having read this book I KNOW what Aaron says is at least 96% accurate. [I can't speak to all the financial stuff, since I haven't done much of these things and thus my knowledge is sketchy at best. But it does SOUND good.] The information [for me] breaks down like this: 40% of this stuff I have already done, to my benefit. 40% I knew I SHOULD have done, but didn't and now wish that I had. 20% of this stuff I never knew and wish that I had. That's 100% of GOOD information in one resource. This is not hyperbole. I constantly nodded my head, pumped my fist in the air and shouted, "YES! Exactly right!" while reading this book. Had I had this book when young, or at least some MAN in my life telling me these things, I could have avoided MANY mistakes. But alas, it's too late for me. And if you're a middle aged man, or older, this book comes too late for you as well. HOWEVER, if you're under the age of 30, AND you haven't already destroyed your life beyond repair, then this book is right on time and you'd better freaking READ IT! It WILL save you a TON of heartache, wasted time and finances. I've two young sons in this category and I've purchased two copies of this book for them. I've taught and guided them well, but obviously I don't know everything and I can't always be there to stop them from doing something foolish. Whereas a good book just might do the trick. I advise all fathers to do likewise for your boys. Oh, and buy them even MORE books along this line. Build a freaking library. That's what I'm doing. I owe them that.

This book explains what your teachers and parent's can't or won't.
This book isn't the end all be all. However Aaron Clarey does a remarkably good job of filling in the blanks where teachers in particular and society in general have failed. As men we all know that we are seriously lacking the knowledge our grandfathers and above took for granted. A sizable chunk of the population is fatherless, and those of us lucky enough to grow up in an intact family are ourselves badly taught. Many have said it before and I will repeat it, thank the Lord for the internet and youtube. This book, Bachelor Pad Economics is practically a necessity for any young man coming out of high school today. I personal made sure my cousin got a copy when he graduated. While it doesn't cover each topic in full depth, as it would need to be about 10 books for that, it does do a remarkable job of hitting most topics every man should know by the time he is eighteen. One thing Clarey covers repeatable in his youtube channel and again in this book is "How not to get into debt." This book helps by explaining methods of how to avoid this trap. While personally minimalism is not for myself, one can follow a lot of the examples to avoid getting into financial peril. There is a lot of good that is in this book, and while $23 seems like a lot for a book it is worth it. For goodness sake a college textbook filled with nonsense you will never use costs between $80 and $300 and is mandatory. This book is worth it. That being said if you are still not sure, you can go to youtube, he has two channels, Aaron Clarey is the first and the second is Older Brother. Both are worth your time and attention.

quite a wide variety of topics are covered
An interesting read. Might have been helpful as a younger person, although at times his advice should be reflected on before totally buying into it especially regarding his anti “born again” stance. Where he is blind, he is intensely blind.

I wish I’d had this book ten years ago. Would have saved me a lot of time and money.
Bachelor Pad Economics does what no one else in the manosphere has done – a cradle to grave compendium of useful advice, coming from Aaron Clarey’s characteristic sensibilities. BPE goes into college and career/entrepreneurship planning (like what makes a worthless degree and why you should avoid them), the red flags of relationship and divorce (how a crazy woman can set you back tens of thousands of dollars, and how to spot one), how to improve your general happiness (people before things), and finally finishing with economic theory and end of life advice (how to leave your kids better off after you’ve passed). The nuggets of wisdom could save a guy a lot of headaches and money down the road, and, even though it’s a given that some of the topics found inside may not interest everyone, on the whole Clarey lays out a useful life strategy. Those who’ve read Enjoy the Decline and Worthless will find some of overlap between this book and its predecessors. BPE doesn’t go into great detail on those subjects, and instead gives the reader a general (but useful) understanding of the material without making the original books obsolete. Readers familiar with Clarey will not be surprised to find his usual style intact here. Those who already agree with his views won’t find much contention. However, those who don’t know of the manosphere in general, or Clarey’s stances specifically, might be a little put off when they appear in the book, especially in the sections on women and relationships. My advice to people to don’t like political incorrectness and generalities: ignore the parts you don’t like and keep reading. Even though there might be sections that you don’t agree with, there still are a lot of gems to be found. No one is going to give you the straight dope when it comes to life advice because there’s no money in bad news. Everyone wants to read books that pat their head and give them nice, comfy, convenient, not-too-hard-to-follow life tips. Bachelor Pad Economics does not do that. It doesn’t pretend to care about your feelings. That is why it’s solid advice.

A high quality book aimed at preventing the common pitfalls of young adult life
Aaron Clarey's Bachelor Pad Economics provides a down to Earth, no-bullshit set of guidelines for young people to follow such that they won't be led astray by their misguided social mores and elders. It details the financial, legal, and social burdens associated with the common achievements and lifestyle choices that are touted as essential in the modern age. Clarey is unapologetic in his scathing indictment of the foolish and often self-destructive aspirations so often foisted upon young people and lays down a series of easy to understand and easy to follow solutions to the numerous traps that lie in wait in the minefield that is the modern socioeconomic landscape. The book also details how both young men and women can go about other aspects of their life in a constructive manner, such as self-improvement, dating and courtship, and education and training. This book is a must read for all self-respecting young adults who want to better themselves and avoid costly, life-altering mistakes.

Do yourself a favour. READ THIS BOOK!
This is by far the best book I have read all year, and possibly one of my favourites of all time. I have been a fan of Aaron's YouTube channel for quite some time. He tells it like it is, and does it with a great sense of humour. His writing is the same. Although, some of the heavier subjects move a little slower, I don't think there is any way this could have been avoided. Everything in this book is useful. It's delivered in a way that makes it easy to understand, and it doesn't matter what stage of your life you are in. you will find this material relevant. So, if you are a man. Young or old. You want to learn some useful life skills, and have a few laughs along the way. This is the book for you. If you are an intellectually dishonest leftist. You won't like it, but you should probably read this book anyway. Who knows. You might finally learn something of value and pull your head out of your a##.

The Red Pill Manosphere Bible! Start with this book 1st
I am a currently in my late 20s and discovered the red pill about a year ago after a bad breakup (typical right?). As I've stated in other reviews, I'm building a red pill library and have read every single book Roosh V has published, The Game, The Predatory Female, The Way of Men, The Manipulated Man, Men on Strike, The Rational Male, and Now Bachelor Pad Economics. I suggest you add all the books I've named to your library as they are all 4 or 5 star in what they aim to achieve. I will say that I previously stated that "The Rational Male" would be the 1 book I would purchase a friend If I could only pick 1 out of my red pill library....But then I read this book! I found out about Captain Capitalism aka Aaron Clarey and quickly watched all his Youtube videos over the span of a week and shared them with friends I knew would appreciate it. We all came to the same conclusion: Aaron Clarey is THE MOST UNPLUGGED MAN ON THIS EARTH! He's so unplugged that sometimes he's annoying because he's telling you truths you are not ready to accept. Bachelor Pad Economics is the most comprehensive book of any Red Pill book I've ever read (Though the other books are not necessarily attempting to be Red Pill Bibles). This literally is THE RED PILL BIBLE. Buy this book first if you are trying to unplug. Buy this first, then buy The Rational Male, Then buy Bang and Day bang from Roosh V then the others previously named and you will be a very smart and well rounded individual. My only complaint is not about this book but that I wish Aaron would advertise this book on Return of Kings or somewhere because if this book could touch 100,000 men or become a New York Bestseller (by some odd twist of fate) we as men could take this world back. Thank you Aaron Clarey for caring so much about other men that you took your time to comprise a 500 plus page book that will help men like myself reach our full potential. I'm forever indebt to you and best believe when I reach my level of success you as well as the other authors will receive a nice check in the male because the $9.99 price doesn't justify the invaluable knowledge you have given me.
