Found this product after finding a YouTube video about repairing a key fob for a Ram truck. I thought I'd be spending a couple of hundred for a new fob, but found that this $10 dollar shell allowed me to transplant the electronics and BOOM...back in business.PLEASE....check your fob....this only works with fobs that DO NOT have a screw inside the Valet key socket. Your fob should be able to open with a small thin object like a knife point or small flat screwdriver. Be sure to clean the contacts on your chip's circuit board before installing...and replace the battery just so you don't have to open it again for a while.

I needed a new part for the fob for my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. All I needed was the rubber buttons as my old one wore out and would cause my windows to roll down and doors to unlock. After looking at reviews on this and complete programmable fobs available on Amazon, and knowing I didn't need a whole new remote, I decided to purchase this shell for the rubber buttons part. I swapped the part from this shell into my old fob and it works perfectly. $10 well spent.

Two keys for my caravan were having problems with the buttons. one was constantly pressing unlock and the other wouldn't recognize the button being pressed. I got two of these, put the circuit board in, the they are working really well now. the buttons have a nice click to them compared to the old ones. They do snap together a little hard at the top, but they won't come apart by themselves.

I had 2 OEM Keyfobs for my 2012 Ram that the buttons were completely worn out and did not work anymore. I bought two of these and removed the rubber insert and installed into my OEM fobs and kept the OEM circut board. The rubber insert fit perfectly and now I have two working OEM fobs again for a fraction of the price!

Didnot like the way it didnot fully snap easily together.

It was easy to take out the guts of my old one and nd put them in the new one. However, after 8 months it is cracking. I don't throw my keys, I very rarely drop them. Regular use should make it last longer than 8 months.

My old key buttons didn't work any longer and could not be fixed. So I bought this fob and swapped out the case and the key works again as it should. Can highly recommend and will buy again when needed.

so glad we found this as we were having odd issues with our remote .like windows opening for no reason and truck starting when put keyfob in pocket. found the exact fob and replaced with this on keeping orginal circuit bd ,so no programming need. works perfect
