Update: Well packaged seeds. Packaging would be great for survival supply. BEWARE however! Plants were not robust. I have grown Basil for years. I used these seeds for this season as well. Plants were healthy enough but they have not produced any seeds. They have bloomed but no seeds. Organic seeds? Hmmm questionable. I have grown basil from seed, for many years, from other sources and sometimes the seed was several years old. Basil has always been a great performer for me. Plants that bloom have always produced seed. These seeds have been the first that I have experienced blooming Basil that does not produce seed and they are supposed to be organic. Buyer beware.

There were enough seeds in the packet to gift enough to my mom to grow. This was her first time growing from seeds and not an already established plant. They are growing really well so far even with minimal experience. They also seem to grow really well indoors if it is too cold outside like in my situation. Can't wait for them to grow more!

I use lots of basil. Made my first pitcher of honey and basil iced tea using 4 different basils. Delicious!

I planted 3 pots of each of these seeds (3+ per pot) under ideal green house conditions on a controlled temperature mat with high quality grow lights. Several of the varieties have not germinated at all, not even a single sprout or seedling. Some have germinated, but very slowly and after three weeks none have more than one or two tiny leaves. Basil is not hard to grow, unless you use these seeds.

I planted some of these inside under grow lights during the winter. I would say 9/10 seeds germinated and grew to maturity. I transplanted them into window boxes and they're doing great. I direct seeded some more of the seeds outside in my raised bed when it was warm enough, and wow they are just totally thriving. I planted each kind, and now have a few rows of colorful and delicious Basil!

Germinated very easy! Now just waiting for plants to get bigger so I can taste them!
