Native Forest Organic Sliced Crimini Mushrooms

We enjoy these regularly as they’re good sliced canned mushrooms. These are also incredibly convenient and quick. From a quick sauce over chicken breasts to a smothered steak burger, you can create great meals in minutes during the week. Don’t get me wrong, fresh is better, but if you love mushrooms and the convenience of these canned crimini mushrooms, we recommend! We get them on subscribe and save so there’s a stash on hand in the pantry.

It is so very handy to be able to grab a can of these delicious organic crimini mushrooms whenever I use mushrooms in anything (which is OFTEN), and not have to wipe and slice fresh ones! They are tender and delicious, while still being firm but not tough, and the best price I've found anywhere is subscribe and save for these here on Amazon. The size of the slices varies from can to can, even in the same case but I do not view that as a problem or any reason to take off a star. Some cans are slices of tiny mushrooms and some almost portabella size, but easy to cut smaller if necessary. The quality is consistent. I've been using these Native Forest mushrooms for 2 or 3 years. We eat a LOT of mushrooms! If you love mushrooms, want organic and are not a "must be fresh" purist, I recommend this brand!

You can't compare canned mushrooms with fresh. If fresh mushrooms were readily available, we would not resort to canned. But in these times, having canned vegetables in the pantry is convenient. These are the best canned mushrooms we have had - but I carefully rinse them before use to reduce the sodium content which, before rinsing, is quite high. Then I use them as topping for pizza - add them around 3 minutes before the pizza is finished. They also make a nice sauce with broth for steak. I would not eat these in a salad, that is, without cooking.

I will always prefer fresh mushrooms to canned but because of stay-at-home, keeping fresh mushrooms on hand all the time became an issue. So we decided to buy some canned mushrooms for use in sauces, soups, omelettes and just as part of veggie sautes. The mushrooms are great. They have great flavor and are actually full slices of mushrooms, not little pieces. Canned mushrooms will never be as good as fresh mushrooms but I think I will continue to buy this brand even after restrictions are lifted and I can make quick grocery stops again. The only thing I wish was that these came in bigger cans because I oftentimes have to open two cans for one recipe even though I'm only making 3-4 serving recipes at a time (but for 2 actual people).

I stock these in my pantry. They are great for pizza, pasta, casseroles and sauces/gravy. I prefer dehydrated or fresh mushrooms for soup. I've had trouble finding a price this good on a product this good at the grocery store. Y alleviate bring able to get these in quantity.

These are tasty, especially for canned mushrooms, so that if I don't have fresh mushrooms around, I'm happy to use them. I prefer fresh mushrooms but sometimes have difficulty obtaining the organic mushrooms locally, so I stock these and they are a good substitute. Plus, they are made in USA so I feel safe buying them. The crimini mushrooms have more flavor than the white mushrooms by Native Forest. Their portobello mushrooms are also good. These are one of the few canned products which usually arrive without too many dents from shipping, because the case of 12 is in a box which is then secondarily packaged in another box.

Tasty. Don't expect market fresh softness. Get real. These are cooked AND canned. So you will notice the slight rubberiness (that's a word?) in texture. Its organic, its tasty and a lifesaver having a box of these around. For pizza toppings, quick gravies, smothered over Salisbury steak.... Getting hungry...

I'm a huge fan of canned mushrooms -- a fact I remember every few years. Recently discovered this brand when the canned food aisle of the grocery store was bare except for a few cans of mushrooms. I scooped them a few cans, opened one as part of dinner, and immediately had to find more to order online. These mushrooms definitely elevate my quarantine dining.
