Very functional, great-looking, and inexpensive mailbox!! Recommend it! Read on...
Excellent Mailbox!! After spending a year on and off looking for a lockable mailbox solution, I finally stumbled on this Elephantrunk. First of all, it works: anything that you can fit into the white bin inside will drop consistently and will not be stuck. I can fit decently-sized packages. Secondly, the bottom has so much space for mail that it can probably hold up to 3-4 weeks of normal load mail (including junk). Thirdly, it is cute looking box with well made body and good paint. Lastly, the price is great! No need to put any ugly posts, etc. But you would need to put it on a level concrete surface or pour a small slab yourself. Install was easy too! The only negative someone can say about this mailbox is that it is not made of some thick gauge of steel. Yes, it is true but why does it need to be made of steel?! This is not intended to be a safe or a vault to store guns or cash. This is just a receptacle to get mail and some packages while preventing it from being easily visible and stolen. Mail thieves generally take only 2-3 seconds to steal mail. They drive up, open mailbox, and get what they can in hopes of catching W-2 or some other financial document. (At least this is how these thieves operate in Texas per multiple videos from security cameras). Anyways, this Elephantrunk makes it hard to steal mail. If someone really wants to, they will still break into this mailbox but it will be noisy and require them to get out of a car and spend some time getting it done... in the end they don't even know if there is anything inside... Also, if this mailbox would be made of steel, it would be very expensive and heavy to ship... So, for all the great functionality and great looks, I recommend this mailbox. FYI, I did try the biggest Epoch mailbox and returned it promptly when it couldn't even get a single piece of mail down without getting it stuck... Lol! It is made of steel but it is nearly impossible to get mail into the Epoch mailboxes... Buy Elephantrunk!

Very happy with this mailbox!
I am so happy with our purchase of this mailbox. Installation was easy to secure the mailbox on the front patio! Very solidly built.

Looks very authentic and professional
I love it no more worries about having anyone come up to my door to steal my packages. They are safe inside the locked mailbox. I purchased a sign that has all the carriers names on it and riveted it to the front. Now just got to get them to put it inside and not on top or on the side of it. Guess they can't read the sign lol. I also purchased a locking mailbox for my letters. For USPS to place inside seems like they did not want to use the elephant mailbox but oh well they look great together. Every time I hear about people losing their packages to porch pirates I wonder why they just dont get a Elephant box. It's a little pricey but well worth it , makes up for all the packages you would have lost if you didn't have one in no time. Don't wait just get one everyone should have one easy to secure down to the ground mine is sitting on my porch that is cement just need the correct size masonry bit to drill into concrete a regular drill bit will not work. Mine is as sturdy as a rock and everyone who comes over to visit complement's me about the way it looks. I will take a pic and show you or a video.

Stop those pirates
First, it's definitely not as big as you may think it is. It will accept an average sized Amazon box (11x 14x9), the kind you can carry under your arm or in one hand, anything bigger will not fit. Getting it secured to the ground was another story. Not sure if it was the type on concrete I used or the cold but the bolt that is supposed to be put into the supporting structure (concrete or wood) would not stay in the concrete. 24 hours after installing and letting the concrete harden you could pull it out with no effort. Will try again when the weather gets warmer with mortar mix and a deeper base (I went 2 inches). I painted the top of my box to match the house siding to conceal it a bit (guess I won't be returning it), won't stand out as much as white against a light green backing and it's in the corner. As some have said before getting the key into the lock is tight, you would feel either the key is upside down or it is the wrong key. Go slow and it will fit. I ended up lubing the key with WD-40 and running it in and out a few time to lube the cylinders. Now very smooth. Overall I like the box though I do wish it took bigger boxes. Sometimes you order a lot of stuff or the shipper uses the biggest box they have just because. So far we've had 2 snow storms (6" each) and it appears to be holding up. Getting the carriers to use it will take time. I told my USPS carrier (he was the one to deliver it) the next day that it was installed and to drop any packages in it, he said okay and the day after that he left a box that would fit on the steps (shrug). I told the regular FedEx driver so we'll see what happens when I get another delivery. Haven't told UPS yet, will if I see him. It's hard to get people to go with new changes, even if it just a new drop box.

Sturdy Beautiful place for packages
I took it out of the box and was so easy to follow instructions. I bought a placard that says Amazon, DHL, Fed EX ,UPS, USPS, off amazon but it is not completely stuck to it. I bought a package of two signs. It stuck to front under handle and the side. But if someone wanted to peel off and reapply it works easily on this gorgeous package box. It is nice and tall. The sturdy feet can be adjusted for low to high. It has a big comfort pad so when packages land it has a soft blow. I added a piece of styrofoam under the pad. It is nice and wide inside for smaller packages. It has the ability to screw into masonry and wood through the bottom under padding. Ground for extra security. I did not do that. I am going to find a way to do it through the back. Worth the money , easy to put together. Gorgeous and classy.

This is my second parcel drop box
So the first box that I had was great, never really had any issues. Then my daughter lost the key and we had to get a new one. But the second box has been NOTHING but problems. 1) The roller inside is too large for the door so when you open the door it gets stuck and you have to slam open the door and close it. 2) Then it decides it isn't going to open/close anymore and it is stuck open in the middle of a snow storm. 3) You try to put it on the tracks, but realize that the blue drum is about an inch to wide for the box and so nothing you can do will fix it. What we did to fix it was take the key door off the 2nd book and put it on the first one so I have the key for it and the drum on the first one (which was white) was perfect.

Spacious mailbox
Mail can be kept secure while we are away from home for a longer period. We don't need to stop mail from USPS. It makes our travel worry free. We built a brick post surrounding the mailbox and it looks beautiful.

Attaches to floor or concrete with a single bolt. Not secure unless you do masonry.
I spent too much time trying to make this work to return it, but it didn't work for the location in mind. Overall build quality and looks are good. Mounting system, however, will not be secure or workable for many. My intended location was a wooden plank floor of an open 120 year old duplex porch. The mount uses a single, heavy bolt to fasten to a base. It does NOT fasten by the back to the building. There are 4 leveling feet, but if attached to a one inch plank or plywood porch floor, one guy would be able to pull on the top of the unit, making it essentially a 4' long crowbar, and tear the bolt through the floor in a few seconds. I considered using bolts in place of the leveling feet, attached to a reinforcing mounting plate, but like most porches, the floor slopes away from the house to allow rain runoff; I would have needed to mount a heavier mounting base and also shim it to level it. If you're handy enough to figure out how to mount it to the wall of the building - maybe using some plumber's steel straps, you could probably make it work. It would probably work best free-standing, bolted to a concrete base, but with only one attachment bolt, you'd be advised to use bricks or concrete to prevent someone from rotating the unit, or they could still snap the bolt.

An absolutely functional, eye-appealing, sturdy mail/parcel drop box
On a positive note, our postal service delivered the package to our front door and waited for a response before lifting the parcel down from the delivery truck, and carried it to my front door for me (with a smile, so kudos to them). Delivery was in a very timely and professional manner. The Elephantrunk Parcel Drop Box arrived in a carefully packaged corrugated cardboard box with protective packaging on the interior of the parcel, in excellent condition. The craftsmanship of the Elephantrunk Parcel Drop Box exceeds all expectactions, it is sturdy, user friendly and the black satin finish is much better in person. It certainly adds to curb appeal and serves it's purpose well as a mailbox and parcel delivery box. To assist in the transition from my usual wallmounted mailbox, I have posted a typed instruction for use notice and covered my mailbox completely with this notice, so that the letter carriers will know that ALL delivery mail and parcels are to be placed inside the Elephantrunk. Conversely, although we have had no issues with mail delivery into our very spacious, sponge-lined Elephantrunk, two very small packages that AMAZON has delivered to our home have both been dropped on the front doorstep, despite the fact that any delivery person must pass by our Elephantrunk and the mail/parcel instruction notice in order to reach our front door. Since the height of the Elephantrunk is lower than our standard mailbox height, we have bolted it to 8" x 8" concrete Cinder Blocks for added security, and for ease of access. As such, although the pre-drilled bolt at the base of the trunk is suffice, it is positioned at the centerpoint of the trunk base. This mounting option is great for ground mounting, however, it would be nice to have had the option to anchor to the back legs as well for added stability when mounting on raised platforms to meet mail/parcel delivery box height standards. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our purchase and we most certainly recommend the Elephantrunk Parcel Drop Box as an addition to any home or business for added piece of mind that delivered mail and parcels will be stored safely and securely until you are able to retrieve them.

Robusta e ben rifinita

Superb mailbox for the online shopping age
I love the Elephantrunk, a lot. Not as much as my wife and kids but not far behind! We previously had a naff small metal mailbox on the wall in our porch and it was really easy to squeeze your hand in and get the mail without unlocking it. Added to this we buy most of our 'must-have' purchases online and we were getting fed up of wondering if we'd be in when they were delivered....so I wanted to get something which was big, strong and would take mail and parcels. There are quite a few options on the market but none that look as good or as designed as well as this. Yes it's more than a ton to buy but how much do you spend online or even on the weekly supermarket trip? It's well packaged, has simple instructions and took less than half an hour to get in-place. The anchor bolt through the bottom is extremely sturdy and I'm confident that it would withstand all but a determined angle-grinder attempt to try and nick it - but it isn't a safe, and we might notice if someone tried to power-tool it out! Remember to make sure you have a decent 16mm masonry or wood drill bit to make the hole for the anchor fitting. The drop-box part of it is really well designed, strong and feels well-engineered. The lock seems capable enough and certainly would again take some (obvious) effort and noise to try and get through. Takes loads of parcels and mail and has a great sponge in the bottom to soften landings. Also has a bar code inside the drop-box which I guess could be scanned if proof of delivery is needed - we added a label with our name and address on as well. Bumped into the postman this morning who had just put two hefty parcels through it. I asked him if it was alright and he said 'fantastic, I wish everyone had one!' - says it all really! Buy it you won't regret it!

Elefanten Paketbox ?
