It's good, stores adequate quantity for lunch. Seal is also effective. No leakage have been using it for 2 years now .

However delicate a glass item would be, the health hazard of carrying hot food items in plastic tiffin boxes is well documented and is a source of concern. So I finally decided to buy and maintain a glass tiffin box! Borosil was the natural choice! (Included few pics of the tiffin box) Basic external dimentions of each lunch box- Height: 20mm Width × Length: 48mm x 48mm Capacity: 320ml Pros- 1. The borosilicate glass is safe for microwave ovens, conventional ovens (upto 400 deg C) and even freezers (upto -20 deg C). Note: the plastic lid with the rubber seal is definitely not oven proof! 2. I have been using borosil bowl and as with that I can vouch that this is also - dishwasher proof, temperature proof, airtight and liquid tight and does not stain due to masala! But as with any glass in the world, sudden change of temperature from hot to cold will crack even this beauty. Yes - be careful not to pour cold water into a hot tiffin after emptying it- it will crack ! Let the heated tiffin cool down before you pour water and clean it! 3. Easy to clean; though please hold the tiffin very close to the sink base so in case the soapy tiffin slips out of your hand it doesn't have to fall a long distance and break! 4. Its quite thick (and hence a bit heavy) 5. The rubber seal is removable and can be cleaned separately! In case you find the tiffin leaking it just means that the seal is not positioned properly. Although it's not easy to move it out of position, a check will be advisable. 6. The included blue colored case fits 2 tiffin properly! It looks neat with embroidered label "borosil" etched on it! 7. 2 years warranty 8. The glass is really shiny and crystal clear and very transparent! Cons- 1. All the usual care which has to be taken for any glass item apply to this as well 2. Comparatively speaking it's quite heavy if you are used to carry Tupperware or any other plastic tiffin box (even when its empty) 3. To avoid the glass tiffin hitting on anything hard, the blue case could have been cushioned! Though the tiffins wont hit each other while inside the case due to the lids which ensure this does not happen! **Tips- 1. Dont use an abrasive side of your scrotch brite to clean. A sponge side will do 2. Use liquid detergent than a powder/soap cake to clean since it's not scratch proof! 3. You cannot trust your maid servant with cleaning these for you. If it slips, it will break and then you can expect only a "sorry" from your maid! Clean the borosil tiffin boxes yourself. Perhaps your maid can clean the plastic lid?! **Warning- 1. When cleaning the lid yourself or by your maid, you may get a shock of your life to see the rubber white ring unceremoniously roll off and come out! Don't be alarmed - it can be snapped back into place by gently pushing it from all the four sides in to the groove whence it came out from. Just ensure that the groovy edges of the rubber ring face up (yes there is a unmistakable groovy edge) 2. In cases where you just refitted the rubber ring back into the groove, just check if it leaks by pouring water and testing. Do this before you store sabji or any liquid food - else you will hate Borosil for the mess when you open the tiffin at work! :) Overall though it's a high maintenance item as with any glass stuff, but you can be rest assured you have a great brand with you! If there were a steel tiffin box which is air and liquid tight, I would prefer that over this one!
