Love this grip!
Live it. I’ve had to rearrange my after market batteries every once and a while when my camera does recognize a battery but it wasn’t because of this grip. Whorls well with both canon batteries and aftermarket Knick offs . I’ve never tried using the shutter cable.

It fits
Since this was the only grip available for my SL3, I purchased it, hoping for the best. I am not disappointed! It fits well and works as I need it to.

Canon EOS SL3
My only issue is that for my Canon EOS SL3, I have to use the 2.5mm Shutter Release Cable (included) for the shutter button to work on the grip. I was hoping that I wouldn't have that added wire sticking out the side.

Great product
This battery grip came with excellent instructions and was a snap to attach to my camera. I have the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 DSLR Camera. The batteries are securely set in the grip, and the camera takes pictures without hesitation or complication.

Not the best
This is not well designed. The shutter button while holding vertical is in the wrong spot. Before you say that it’s user preference, I have owned at least a half dozen grips and the shutter was always in the right spot. There are two wire that are on the exterior of the grip that are super annoying. I cannot figure out why it’s designed this way. The best I can say about it is that its functional.

Works great
Fits perfectly on my EOS LS2. Texture of rubber areas matches camera body exactly. Remote shutter button works when using the small connector, if a side shutter is your thing.

Great accessory for Canon SL2
I bought this to give extra battery life to my camera, and it didn’t disappoint! It also works well for grip since the sl2 is small.

terrible, but what else can ya do?
it got a 2 star because for the price tag, this battery grip is way overpriced. its the only one thats compatible with the body of the SL3, and so i felt there was no other choice. Well there isnt, and im gonna use it, but just know this battery grip is so cheaply made that it feels like it would be worth 15$. whats sad is that for my t5i, i purchased a last second 10$ grip and that one feels better than this 50$ venture. everyone else complained about things that seemed out of the company’s control, so i clicked the trigger. but believe me, between battery placement, an exposed wire, and dont even get me started on how the body is uneven on the grip. sure, it works; it does its job, but for 50$ yea no. i wish there was another option, but since this is the only grip for the SL3; i’l just have to deal with it. this company has clearly taken advantage of the lack of competition and made the worst quality grip on earth and slapped a 50$ price tag on it. also, theres a little bump in the grip that also appears on the image on the box; so its supposed to be there. why in the world would someone put a random bump on the handle of the grip? its as if this company wanted you to be uncomfortable....
