THIS STUFF WORKS!!
I have a 2009 F150 with over 337,500 miles on the original engine. It developed a persistent rear main seal leak about a year ago. Having called the local dealer, I was quoted labor only of $1,900 to repair this leak. I went on Amazon to see if there might be anything out there that would help. I purchased this Blue Devil pour and go rear main sealer and had it delivered next day, put it in the crankcase as instructed and drove to Ft. Lauderdale (200+ miles roundtrip) So far, after about 400 miles, it looks to me that the leak has stopped. I'm hopeful that it stays stopped and will no longer be a mess on my paver driveway!! I recommend this product based on this outcome.

So far, so good.
Had a slow oil leak since I bought my 07 tahoe used about a year ago, about a drop or two a day. After a recent oil change, it was leaving a small puddle after every trip. No noticeable leak from up top, the plug or filter, so I assumed the worst, that it would be the pan gasket or rear main. Since I'm in no financial position to pay for any engine work to be done, I gave this stuff a shot. I bought it about two weeks ago and dumped it in. After about a week, I noticed no more leaking, no new spots on my driveway. Hopefully, it stays this way until I can get the motor looked at. I'll update in a month or two if there are any changes. Update 4/11/22: I noticed a few drops on the driveway a few weeks ago, but nothing since. It may have been residual oil that I hadn't cleaned off beforehand. Either way, nothing since. I'll update again next month.

Stopped Old Oil Leak on My Jeep
I was skeptical when I first try this product on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. The jeep has had an oil leak for many years; it wasn’t a large oil leak, but big enough to leave an ugly spot on the garage floor. I used a piece of cardboard under the truck to catch the oil drip, but knew I had to do something before the leak got any worse. Of course, the right thing to do was to replace the main seal, but I recently had knee surgery and getting under the truck to drop the transmission was out of the question. I’m not sure how I came across this product, but I’m glad I did. The day the sealer was to arrive, I used a pressure washer and some rags to clean oil residue from under the engine and transmission. The BlueDevil Rear Main Sealer arrived on Aug 29, 2018. I poured the whole bottle in my jeeps engine on that same day and then just drove the truck normally. I drove it to the store and did some other errands. When I arrived at home and before parking my truck, I placed a clean piece of cardboard on the garage floor to catch the oil drip. On the following day, I checked the cardboard under the truck and there was a new spot of oil. I reasoned I had just wasted $11.99 for the product and didn’t think anything else about it until today, Sep 20.2018. So, I went to check, not necessarily to see if the product worked, or not, but whether the cardboard was too saturated and needed to be replaced. But to my surprise, the cardboard didn’t have any new oil spots and aside from the spot when I first poured the sealer, it was nice and cleaned. I also checked under the engine and transmission but didn’t see any indication of any oil leak. So, I must say that this BlueDevil Rear Main Sealer really works. I cannot say for how long, but for now, I’m very satisfy with the results.

Don’t use if you have a Honda
Do not buy this if you have 3.5 Honda engine or possibly any engine with VCM. Ran this for my wife’s 2008 Pilot for one day and it clogged the VCM module causing low oil pressure and forced the car into limp mode. Fixed after i changed the oil and ran MMO beforehand. Do not use this product if you’re a Honda owner!

Was skeptical but a believer now
Update it started leaking again 2 days later. Definitely less but it’s still leaking. I have a 1996 F250 with the 460 and the rear main was leaking. I saw this product and thought it was to good to be true but worth the money to try it out. I drove it 200 miles and parked in on concrete not a single drop. I am amazed and 100% recommending it.

Does it work? Or is it snake oil?
I’ve always been leery about the various automotive cure alls, but let me tell you about this product. First off, this was used on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe that has 175,000 miles. Unfortunately, it had a cracked radiator and my daughter didn’t notice that it was getting hot before it threw a overheated code and shut down the engine. Before this, although it had high mileage, it wasn’t leaking water or oil. I brought the car home and replaced the radiator, hoses, and while I was at it the drive belt. Upon start up, it started dripping oil from the rear main. I wasn’t happy at that point. I really didn’t have the time to deal with replacing the seal and knew it would probably cost $1500 to $2000 to have replaced at the shop. At that point, I started thinking about giving a sealer a try. I figured for the under $20 cost, it was worth trying, although I had my doubts. After pouring the product in the engine, we started the engine and allowed it to idle for about 15 minutes. It still had the drip, although I knew it needed longer to react. The car was then driven on a few short 20 mile trips while observing the drips once parked and idling. The drips that began as about one per 20 seconds had been reduced to one every 60 seconds. After about another 100 miles, the leaking stopped. Currently, the Tahoe has had an additional 1000 miles put on it and still no leaks! I am impressed! I don’t know what will happen in the future, but it’s sure working now. I would highly recommend this product to any of my friends or family without any reservations. I’m so happy that I decided to give it a try. Follow up 2 months later…. Still no leaks after 2 months and another 1500 miles. Very happy so far!
