Rough Country 4.5" Lift Kit for 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ | 2.5L/4.0L - 68622

Great suspension at a good price. Installed on a 95 2 door 2wd. Basically use the jeep as a budget trophy truck. Has seen over a thousand off road miles and a lot of air time. No issues with it so far. I run it very very hard on rocky trails, sand, river/creek bed and jump it frequently. Only issue has been a brake line that burst. One phone call directly to rough country and a replacement was on the way. Awesome customer service! Will use again on next jeep. Definitely recommend.

Excellent product and exceptional customer service. I highly recommend purchasing from Rough Country. Do keep in mind, though, the quick disconnect sway bar links on this have ALUMINUM brackets. Not even a month in with no heavy off-roader, the bolt stripped the aluminum threads on my driver side and the whole link detached, bracket and all. I'll be looking into buying sway bar links somewhere else.

I like this kit. It provides a huge improvement over the original suspension components on an XJ Cherokee. I'll describe the difficulty we had with the cross member, not as a complaint but to help anyone that experiences the same difficulty. On the cross member that came with the kit the holes for the transmission mount weren't in the same locations as the holes in the original cross member. (see the first photo.) Eventually I bought an Anchor 2570 transmission mount. ($12 on amazon.) This mount has the bolts centered rather than offset. The second photo shows the original and new transmission mounts. The third photo shows the original transmission mount on the original cross member, and the new transmission mount on the new cross member; you can see that the holes now line up. So the fix was only $12 but required a lot of phone calls, internet searching, time, and frustration.
