A good family game.
This has been a bit of a slow burner. We played it once or twice in the early days and then sort of forgot about it, but having rediscovered it it's quite popular in our house now. It is a good tactile game. My son likes the tiny brain pieces that you put together as your tokens to win. The games are memory, counting, touch, lateral thinking. It is a good challenge and there is an interesting variety of card types. It is the junior version so I have to let my son win quite often, and it's a bit too complicated for him to play with friends without me there to help, but he's only six so in a couple of years I think he'll be able to enjoy it without me. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the more difficult version of Cortex when he's a bit older.
