Good quantity with a good taste. Easy to rehydrate - I just put them in a baggie with some water and put in the fridge overnight. In the morning they are ready for my omelet or pizza in the afternoon.

This is a good product. In the most popular review the "professional chef" says that these are way to tough and have lots of stems. Well stems are tough and not good but that does not apply to the bag I got. I count about 1 to 2 short stems per about 25 or so pieces, which I just tear off when I wash them. Stems are not an issue. As for toughness, these have to be put in boiling water and simmered for about 15 to 20 minutes and then they're nice and tender. Any less and they will be tough. You have to know how to prepare them. These are not fast food. I love the hearty, savory flavor that dried mushrooms bring especially porcini or shitake. These are good, they do the job and for the price are practically unbeatable. However I'm only giving 4 stars because of their quite mild flavor. I've had much more flavorful dried shitake mushrooms. If they were more expensive they'd get only 3 stars but I love the price.

Good Price, so I got 3 packs. Fresh Mushrooms always rot on me, unless I make a HUGE dish, or Make a dish of mostly mushrooms. These are SUPER for tossing some into any dish of: spaghetti sauce, rich cream sauce, soup, stew, in au jus ...

The mushrooms are good quality, easy to rehydrate, and they taste amazing.

Loved how clean these were and so many big slices...Not like some dusty shrooms... Soaked some in water in fridge and used them like fresh during a week of dinners (drank the broth like ice tea with honey and lemon). Added to noodles and soups as well as stir fry... delicious... If steamed they stay a bit chewy, when cooked or sautéed they are more tender. Even when a bit al dente they soak up the flavor of your sauce and are a compliment to any dish. I am about to order again now as we speak...

Sadly these are terrible. I was so excited to be able to have mushrooms at any time but these are not for me. They are pretty, lots of them too but the taste is disgusting. They are chewey, and just seem cannot be cooked. I tried several ways to cook them after hydration without any success. If you buy these good luck!

Maybe that is what shitake mushrooms taste like, but it was a little fishy for my liking. Not as "mushroomy" as I expected. I would not use them generically in recipes calling for mushrooms. They rehydrated okay, but were a bit rubbery. Again, maybe that is they kind of mushroom they are. Overall, I didn't feel like I got a good value.

Super tasty mushrooms. They rehydrate really well. Spot on for soups and broths and really handy to have in. Huge bag too. Great value.

I was surprised by the generous amount of mushroom slices in the package. These are very good quality and very delicious! It is convenient to have them already sliced and ready to use once rehydrated. They smell wonderful and taste as delicious as they smell. Excellent product!
