WOW! *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2017* I wanted to get the 100, or 150 Watt light, but my current fixture couldn't house a corn light of that size. I got a call from Nick at Everwatt, and we spoke for quite a while on the phone. Great guy, very bright, working with the company with great service.Reluctantly, I ended up purchasing the 35 W unit, their smallest one. This replaced 175 W gaslight high up on my garage over my driveway. I have 5 acres so I wanted to get something with extra light. Once installed, at night, we were blown away. I could not believe how much brighter this ever watt unit was. I am well acquainted with LED output, but I'm still impressed with how much light is 35 unit throws. I went up on the roof the next day and cleaned the light sensor lens, that was causing the unit to go on and off during the day, and re-configuring it so it face toward the sun, and now, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'm glad I didn't get the more powerful one. But I will be buying more lights for different areas of my property from Everwatt. Extremely satisfied.One Last note: I wish either Everwatt and/or Amazon had direct links for fixtures for these units. It's been a bitch trying to find one, (regardless of the Search Engine I tried.) I will buy more corn lights once I find the appropriate fixtures.Bob R. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replacing our 300w incandescent lamps with these will give us a bit more light with a better color and at just a 5th of the ener *by M***U on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2016* We've tried several LED lamps as upgrade/replacements for our 300w incandescent warehouse lights. Finally we've found one that lives up to its brightness claims! Others advertise over 8000 lumens, but aren't as bright as this one advertised at 6900. The 4000K color temp is just what we were looking for (not too blue). Replacing our 300w incandescent lamps with these will give us a bit more light with a better color and at just a 5th of the energy we were using. Observing the shadows created when standing between one fixture with the new LED and one with the old incandescent shows the difference in light output and color (see photos attached). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Replacement for Metal-Halide Bulb But Expensive *by J***T on Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2018* This bulb just fits into our 20 year old Cooper Electric light fixture that is mounted in the ground and is used to light up the front of our house. When the fixture was initially installed, the installer failed to seal off the connecting conduit from the ground. Hence, red ants built a huge filthy nest inside the fixture. This consisted of packed red dirt and moisture. This eventually cased the ballast and/or transformer to fail.I could have replaced the ballast (and probably the transformer) for a little less money than the cost of this LED bulb. But I figured that while I was working on the light fixture, I may as well upgrade it to LED. Re-wiring this is extremely easy: just cut off all wires attached to the transformer and ballast. Then reconnect the incoming line wires directly to the mogul socket base. The bulb does not need any external ballast or transformer. It runs directly off house current (130V in our case).This size bulb just barely fits within the enclosure. I thought about getting the 100-W model but I'm glad I didn't, as it would not have fit unless I severely modified the enclosure. Therefore, the light output (in lumens) is slightly less than the rated output of the bulb (Philips MH175/U it replaced. But I can't tell any difference when it is turned on (compared to another yard light we have that still uses the original bulb).The light color (4000K is a bit warmer than I imagined but not bad. I went with the 4000K model because that is the rated light color output of our original metal-halide bulb. But when they are both on together, this one looks just a bit warmer than the metal-halide bulb. But that's a good thing because I always felt that the original bulb was a bit too cool (bluer) than it needed to be for Illuminating the exterior walls of our house.Like other LED bulbs, this one turns on at full brightness nearly instantly. It uses only 80W of power, compared to 175W of the original bulb, while giving off similar light intensity. That's a big money saver in terms of power consumption if you plan on leaving these lights turned on a lot of the time.I'm taking one star off (giving it four stars) just because it is a bit pricey. A replacement metal-halide bulb is only about $13. This one runs about $92. If you don't mind the price, go for this bulb. There is another similar bulb that is less expensive and works about as well at http://a.co/6913NJ6. I bought one and installed it in our other yard light.
