Vater Fusion Hickory Drumsticks Pair, Wood Tip

These sticks are great, feel awesome, and bring out nice tones from the cymbals, I especially like the barrel tips, very much reccomend for fusion/funk drummers

I play a lot of jazz and funk fusion and these are the best sticks I've ever used. Something about the way they are weighted is just perfect for the kind of music I play

I bought these knowing I loved how light the Sugar Maple drumsticks were. I was worried after the Sugar Maple 5As broke within 10 minutes of using them, but these are definitely more durable. I'm surprised every day by how well they hold up. They're a little heavier than the 5As, but not much. It doesn't limit by ability to play fast fills and move around the toms, which is great. The tip is a spherical tip, which is now my favorite type of tip. It is even more durable than barrel tips (which my Fatback 3As had). Essentially, these sticks are light yet somehow very durable, I have not broken a pair yet. I'm amazed with every hit that they're still unharmed, and that the tip is not worn at all. I'm loving these sticks most of all because they let me focus on the rest of my setup without worrying about getting new sticks, because they just work. And they work well. As the title says, these are the best sticks I've owned. If you want more power than the 5A but still need a light weight to really rip out some quick fills, and you also want a durable drumstick, I highly recommend these. The one drawback: the sugar maple sticks all have a stranger textures than the hickory sticks, so they slip in my hands rather frequently. I plan to try out some grip tape or something to help stop this.

I play Jazz and have a been a Regal Tip guy forever. If you're reading this then you know what's going on there. So, I experiment. I got these for a nice price compared to most brands and they have the requisite quality. For me, they feel right, with a nice light weight, without being too thin for me. That of course, is subjective. If there is anything I wish were better for my feel, it would be the lacquer. They don't exactly feel 'naked' but they are more slippery than I had hoped. I guess I'm just used to that Regal Tip feel. As I use them I get more used to them, and especially for this price, I can recommend them to anyone who wants that Maple feel with a diameter slightly thicker than a 5A.

The sugar maple makes these very light sticks, which can help your speed, but it's not very dense wood, so if you're a hard hitter, you will break a lot of them. Some players may not like the bounce. Again because they are light, it takes a little more effort to control the bounce That said, I love them. They're durable enough to rock with and light enough to swing with and I find them very well balanced. I like to warm up and do rudiments with the heavier, hickory version, then use the sugar maple during the show. Do that and you'll feel loose as goose in a noose!

These are by far my favorite drumsticks. Vater makes a beautiful product. Sturdy wood sticks hold up to a beating. Before I found these, the promark rebounds were my go to. These vater fusions hold up better and the small tip is great for a variety of different playing styles. They are especially good for cymbal articulation. These are also cheaper than your promark and vic virth brands.

Love these sticks! Unlike another reviewer, I have had no problems with paint chipping at all. I uses these and the Vic Firth Buddy Rich sticks, which are also finished in white paint. No flaking. (I think he might have gotten some of the "seconds" or irregulars available for about $4 a pair--less than half the sell price--which are offered at such deep discounts because they have issues with the finish. For the record, I even have a few pairs of those "irregular" sticks I bought at a deep discount and have had no problems with paint chips flying.) The sticks are dense and heavy, which I happen to like, and the thick taper from shoulder to the round tip provides great bounce for double-strokes and nice rebound. The stick length is also to my liking (16.5") and provides great reach. These are terrific sticks for rock and heavier-hitting Gospel. If you like a heavier and longer stick than a standard 5B, check them out. For a slightly lighter, less dense version of this stick, the Gospel Fusions and 5As are good alternatives in a longer stick. These have become my go-to sticks.

Había visto los Vater en varios bateristas de Estados Unidos y en dónde resido no es posible conseguirlas por retailers, y aunque el precio pueda sonar caro, valen mucho la pena. He comprado tres pares hasta ahora y todos de muy buena sensación y durabilidad. Me gustaría hubiesen mejores medidas por aquí pero estas se adaptaron a mi grip.

These are my favorite sticks! large 5b like gauge without the weight due to the sugar maple. Rounder tip to allocate w for great response.

Lieferung ist angekommen auch am richtigem Datum, leider sind die Sticks von Vater 2 unterschiedliche Eier ahorn einer maple. Doof!!!
