Plenty powerful
The holes in the pad won't align with any sandpaper I know of. Plan on buying a new pad if you want it to vacuum dust. contrary to the reviews stating valve issues, DONT FORGET TO OIL THE AIR INTAKE. oddly it doesn't mention oiling anywhere on the box. I put about 8 drops of oil in every other use. I put a drop on the valve stem too.

It's a good sander, but air control sucks and it's an air hog. Heavier than my Dynabrade.
