Extra important for people who take acid reflux meds
The more I deal with doctors, the VA, and all the crud going on with me, the more research I wind up doing. I've been taking acid reflux medicine for over ten years because it's literally the only thing that works so far, not even avoiding most the the supposed "trigger" foods helps me. What the military doctors failed to tell me was how awful it is for my bones, which actually sounds like most military doctors. But after doing my own digging, if you take too much calcium it can actually harm your arteries and heart. Apparently that's where vitamin K comes into play, specially K2. It helps bind calcium to bones but deflects it from arteries. Smart little vitamin. Unfortunately it's pretty much nonexistent in the American diet. But @maryruthorganics gummy vitamins has 100mg (83% DV) in a single gummy, plus 125% (25 mg) Vitamin D, which is another thing needed for a ton of health benefits, and 8% calcium. They do taste like apricots, which I'm not a huge fan of, but it's not bad.

Horrible smell, different shape - called company direct
Update: I called Mary Ruth's and they are refunding the purchase cost. I was told that the shape change is temporary, but the reformulation is likely permanent (they believed it was to make the gummies less likely to stick together). If they are reading this, they should order a bottle from Amazon to see what this lot of gummies smells like to understand what we are receiving in case it is a lot issue. This product has a no-return policy, and on Mary Ruth's website, it states that unless you bought from them directly you need to refer to Amazon's policy. Amazon refers you back to the manufacturer. Each pointing the finger at each other. We have purchased over 20 bottles of this supplement over the years. Typically it has a pleasant smell and taste and is heart-shaped. Upon opening this bottle, the smell hit me - a strong chemical smell. These gummies are far from anything I would give our kids. It's unfortunate since we have come to trust this brand and buy a couple of other products from them regularly (the Nightime liquid vitamin, the liquid pump D3/K2 for us adults, and the Immunity Gummies). Hopefully, they are reading the reviews and seeing a bleak pattern here. Had this been a first-time purchase, I would have steered clear based on the latest slew of reviews. Not sure what is going on with this product or the company, but I am hoping by contacting customer service tomorrow I can at least get a refund.

Gummies for D3
Mary Ruth's D3 & K2 with calcium seems sufficient for amount of D3, gummies are fresh. Have been taking these gummies for at least a year, would recommend for anyone who prefers gummies vs capsules/tablets.

good but not perfect
I recently purchased the MaryRuth Organics Calcium with Vitamin D & Vitamin K2 from Amazon, hoping to add a quality supplement to my daily routine. However, I'm quite disappointed with the product. Upon opening the bottle, I noticed a sticky, almost glue-like texture to the gummies, which was very off-putting. Additionally, there's an unpleasant odor that I can't quite pinpoint, but it's definitely not what I expect from a health supplement. While I appreciate the combination of Calcium, Vitamin D, and K2, the texture and smell make it difficult to continue using this product. I'm concerned about the quality and freshness. I've been a fan of MaryRuth Organics in the past, but this particular product has fallen short of my expectations. I would caution others to be aware of these issues before purchasing. I'm considering returning this item for a refund. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with this product? I'd be interested to hear if this is a common issue or if I received a defective batch.

Formula changed
Update - I received a message from the seller offering a full refund. While my review of this product stands, I do appreciate their customer service from a company standpoint. I have ordered their biotin gummies for hair, skin & nail support, and the liquid multivitamin + lustriva and am looking forward to trying those. I will monitor the reviews for formulation change for the calcium gummies for my daughter's sake in hopes they go back to the old formula...or at least a change in the flavor. I started ordering this product for my daughter a couple years ago when she was diagnosed with lactose intolerance. I was looking for ways to up her calcium. When I opened the latest bottle we received, they were a different shape and different smell. My daughter used to love her morning vitamin but she spit this one out saying it tasted like play doh. She refuses to take the rest of them so there goes that money. So frustrating!
