Perfect for getting rid of thorny bushes
Amazing 12ft square of blackberry bushes removed, no thorns went through, you could bend the branches, and no more cuts on the arms, very comfortable and easy to use the garden tools with them on

Quality is great! Used them for the first time right after being delivered to cut back some 6+ft rose bushes that were in dire need of a trimming. Previously tried using my well padded leather ski gloves which worked okay but the thorns would easy puncture that soft leather and didn't go nearly as high as I needed. Immediately noticed how well the gauntlet protection went up the arm. If nothing else this is the single greatest feature. Fit was a little tight, but I caulk it up to these gloves may have been designed for a woman's hand. They fit snug and if I wasn't wearing a thinner spring type coat I suspect the cuffs going up wouldn't have been quite so tight. The leather is super soft which made me nervous at first but seriously my hands were well protected after two hours of truely testing them out. I did get about 2 small pokes through the gloves. I must have cut enough to create a new 6ft x 4ft bush. Even at the end when I was getting real careless and rough pulling out branches my hands barely felt anything but sill had excellent dexterity. I wouldn't hesitate recommending these to anyone else. If you have huge hands they may not fit comfortably. I have medium sized men's hands and they worked.

These gloves are great for handling sharp plants like cacti, horsenettle, and roses. It takes a little while to build up your trust in them but these have yet to let me down. Great protection but still allows you to maintain dexterity in your hands. They also cover up to your elbows which is helpful because a stray thorn or spine could always catch you on your way in and out of the plant. Now I can weed around my cacti without worrying about getting stabbed by a spine. Highly recommend!

Package just arrived and I tried these on immediately. Here is my first impressions. #1 - look out for the smell - the plastic baggie holds in the most obnoxious smell from the manufacturing process, but don't worry, it dissipates soon enough after first knocking you off your feet. #2 - I should've believed the chart but having been burned too many times in the past when purchasing scrubs or shoes/sneakers from Amazon without being able to try items on and didn't want to return yet another piece of clothing for being too small. I have large hands for a female ( for comparison I wear US size 9.5 or 10 W shoes also wear size large latex gloves at work) so I didn't quite believe I'd fit in a medium glove as recommended on the chart and ordered regular large. Well, what'd'ya'know they're big on me. Surprised that a medium would've been perfect but am keeping these larges because of stories of people finding themselves banned from buying for too many returns. I'm not upset or angry with anyone for this company displaying an ACCURATE sizing chart. And when it comes to gloves, better too big than too small. Best would've been believing this particular manufacturer. #3 - Checked all the seams and stitching. Gratefully, these gloves seem to be well constructed and genuine cow hide and pigskin. No synthetic imitation materials detected. I look forward to wearing these.

Have to admit I was sceptical that these gloves could handle Texas thorns, but I figured I could use them for gardening if they didn't work out. But they're absolutely OUTSTANDING at dealing with the most brutal thorny growth that I have! I'm clearing brush along my property line and fencing it in. Brush gets piled up, then I have to handle it for the loppers to chop it to size for feeding it into my chipper. Once it's all piled up in the trimmed pile, I have to handle it all over again and feed it to the chipper, sometimes manhandling it into the feeder, crunching it down into bundles, forcing it into the narrow feed chute, etc. I'm dealing with mesquite, hawthorne, vines... mesquite thorns get well over an inch long and are sharp and hard as iron, they'll pierce car tires. Hawthorne is outrageous, ranchers used to use it along fence lines to keep cattle in! I've also got cholla and prickly pear to deal with. These gloves handle it all. I spent about three hours this weekend lopping, chipping, and clearing, and I got stuck *twice*. When I first started on the fence, it would have taken me probably closer to a week to handle the same distance, what with pussyfooting around the thorns with my previous gloves. FIVE STARS, no hesitation!

I bought the yellow for my spouse and white for me. Wish I could keep them white haha but thee are so strong and sturdy yet pliable. Leather quality is excellent. NO bites will penetrate these and they come up almost to my elbow. Worth every penny! I normally wear an 8 womens glove/ L or XL, and had to size down. These are unisex sizes. I kept the first larger pair for my husband and they fit him well, re-ordered in white for me.
