Wonderful, once I got the hang of them
I admit that when I first tried these crossword puzzles, I found them too difficult. However, after somehow muddling my way through one or two, I gradually caught on, somehow. Now, these are absolutely wonderful! Challenging, but not impossible. Loads of wordplay and puns. I'll solve one over the course of a few days. Love the puns and the great themes.

Great price for fun puns
What do I look for in a crossword puzzle book? Well, I was already familiar with LA Times crosswords. They're not as difficult as NY Times. Sometimes I find the answers frustrating, especially when they're trying to be funny but I think this is really a matter of taste. These puzzles all have some puns in them. I want a book that is easy to write on. The binding of the book is nice, the spiral is in the back and the book lies nice and flat and fits on a clipboard. The paper is perhaps a step up from typical coloring book paper. A bit rough. The printing is clear and the boxes a reasonable size. I also want to be able to find the answers quickly, just in case.... The answers are all together in the back of the book. Not much else you could ask for, a great bargain for the price.

Fun and convenient
I enjoy these collections because the puzzles are just punny and funny enough to be fun to figure out. Sadly, occasionally a tad dated, as they're reprints from Sunday puzzles of a few years back...trying to remember who appeared in a TV show I didn't watch six years ago can be a challenge! I like how each puzzle is on its own page and that it's spiral bound so you can fold it back over. If you like puzzles with a challenge, you'll like these.

Not All That Difficult to Solve
I've been doing various crossword puzzles for many years. Although I generally work on New York Times crosswords, I decided to try some from the Los Angeles Times for a change of pace. Although these puzzles require some thought to solve, I don't find them as difficult as those from the NY Times. While others will have their own opinions, I found the puzzles a bit to simple. What I found frustrating was the paper quality. A sharp pencil often pierces the paper (I've learned to press more lightly) and ink often bleeds through to the opposite side of the page. Dedicated crossword puzzle solvers might want to look elsewhere, but these would be a good challenge for those who find the NYT puzzles too difficult.

Very enjoyable.
A pleasant respite from the rigors of the NYT puzzles for my aging brain. I will undoubtedly by them all eventually.

This book offers a wonderful selection . No really easy ones , so a good choice for people who like to do puzzles that can offer a bit of a challenge. I do a lot of puzzles , and this is a great choice !!

I really love these puzzles but the print is so small that I found them very tiring on the eyes to do
