does this yeast have sorbitan monostearate?

yeast, soy four, ascorbic acid, sorbitan monostearate, wheat flour, enzymes according to the package.

Each package has a "use by date" and the ones that I received were outdated and did not rise.

Is this yeast kosher?

Hello I am not sure if this is a Kosher symbol or not - but is has a very small k with a backward c under that says Parve on front next to net wt 3/4 oz. There is a tiny symbol on end of social media site logo's at bottom back by word Rise and very tiny one (needed magnifying glass) by manufacturer address on back of one packet.That's the best I can do as it does not say it on the packaging. I made my first batch of bread and it was wonderful...love this yeast. Use by date is Aug 2021. I will reorder for sure. Hope this helps.

I typically use red star rapid rise... what is different with this yeast? is the taste different? what kind of yeast is used in store white bread?

I exclusively use this yeast and the results are consistently excellent. I don’t detect an odd flavor or a flavor that isn’t yeast. I hope this helps.

Fast rising

Inflated price on a great product

This is my favorite yeast for making basic sandwich bread; always get a dependable and quick rise. The price was inflated 3x during quarantine, though. Not happy about that, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
