The first compilation album from Simon & Garfunkel, originally released in June 1972, two years after the duo had split. The album is a mix of original studio recordings and four previously unreleased live recordings. Review: Good music - Sounds great Review: Superb Pressing, Superb music - I bought this partly through nostalgia as my late father loved this LP. I grew up with this and remember recording certain favourite tracks to my dodgy cassette recorder by placing the mic between the stereo speakers my dad built. So I've bought this vinyl version even though I've possessed the CD for some time. The first thing I'll say is I bought the re mastered versions of Pink Floyd's DSOTM and WYWH at the same time on Vinyl and the pressing on the PF albums is miserable with pressed noise and a lack of detail generally. This album on the other hand shines as an example of how vinyl can really sound. Superb pressing with no track noise and great detail. The music is fantastic and the lyrics...well just listen!! I actually love the mix of 'live' and studio tracks complete with applause - I know it annoys some people. But I grew up with this and always hear the next track in my head as a track comes to an end, complete with applause!! This may not be on the heaviest vinyl but, as my experience with pink floyd has borne out, that doesn't necessarily mean anything. If you are after a true hi fi faithful reproduction on vinyl of this album which sparkles then I heartily recommend.

Where's the Bridge?
For some reason it says Bridge Over Troubled Water is the first track on the front but not on the back and the track listing order is confusing.

2018 Vinyl the ultimate version.
Brilliant vinyl reproduction. I would be interested in knowing what the difference is between this and the 2016 remastered version (this is simply 2018). I had this as a teenager and subsequently the cd. I was aware that some tracks like feeling groovy are great live recordings. Having a few live versions interwoven within the album works well. For me this is the best collection but then it was my first. Always superb music and superb sound. This vinyl version on a decent hifi is the ultimate. You also get a free download for the ipod.

Es una delicia escuchar las voces de estos dos grandes cantantes y compositores. Si no eres un gran fan al menos “The sound of silence”, “Mrs. Robinson” y “Bridge over troubled water” desquitan el precio. Tengo este mismos álbum en CD desde los años 90s, pero en mi opinión las canciones suenan mejor en vinilo.

The quality of the packaging is bad. But lucky the vinyl is good. The inner sleeve looks like a recycled one. Good for listening but not recommended for collectors

Disco esteticamente bellissimo e con il meglio di un duo entrato nella storia della musica mondiale. Capolavori!
