Qubii USB-A Auto Backup Photos MFi Apple Certified iPhone Storage Flash Drive for iPhone, iPad, MacBook/Laptops/PC

What I like: 1) You can back up more than just the photos from your phone. You can also backup your contacts and photos from your social media accounts. (Two months ago I lost over half of my contacts because they were connected to my school email. I deleted my school email from my phone and I didn't have my phone connected to the icloud and so I lost all of them. Having a Qubii then would have been a lifesaver.) 2) You can customize. While the app allows you to auto back-up all these things you can choose which ones you actually want to back up and how often. You can even turn off auto-backup and do manual back-up if you like. 3) The Qubii works with Mac and other PCs. While I have two iPhones, my PC and tablet are Windows. 4) It's lightweight, easy to store, and hard to lose. Unless of course, you have a habit of losing your phone charger. Some things to note: 1) The product does not work without or come with a micro SD card. You will have to get one separately. (Update: You can now buy a Qubii that comes with an SD Card.) 2) You will have to download the Qubii app (don't worry it's free!) While not quite as intuitive as the company's Piconizer app, the Qubii app is still very easy to use and could be picked up by virtually anyway, but that doesn't mean there's not still room for improvement. 3) The Qubii must have power to work. I couldn't get the Qubii to work with my computer at first but had no problems when plugged into my wall charger. I must not have had it plugged in the whole way. There is a little green light above where you plug your usb in that will be lite if the Qubii is connected to power. If you are having trouble I recommend making sure this light is green before going through any other troubleshooting. Improvements the company could consider moving forward: 1) The onboarding process could be made a little more clear. Right now I'd rate it at 30 minutes to master, which is great, but since I am also familiar with the company's Piconizer app I know they can achieve even more. 2) More features to what can be auto backed-up such as emails and text messages. 3) Add some features as to what you can do with the photos from the app, such as share from the app to text, email, and SM. 4) Offering the product in more colors or fun designs and maybe with a small little drawstring back for storage and carrying. (I'm so happy to see the company has implemented some of the things I suggested in here.)

I bought this after using a flash drive to attempt to transfer thousands of photos. I only wish I had known about this earlier! The Qubii is very rad to set up and use after installing the app from the App Store. You do have to purchase a micro SD card before it will work. I bought a 128GB card for $20 and have plenty of room to spare. I love that you can back up your contacts and your social media accounts as well. My initial full backup took about an hour. Subsequent backups only take minutes because the app scans for new files only and backs them up. I don’t use it beside my bed where I charge my phone because it has a small light and I like the pitch black when I sleep. I have it setup in my office and connect when I get home from work. It’s done before I can even get in the shower! I love it so much I bought my wife one as well!

This thing works great. Simple to set up. I back up two phones just by charging them. Just download app and set up Once. Backs up when ever you charge from the cube. Phone auto starts even if locked. I bought a 512mb memory chip to use with the unit. All in about $90 so not cheap but losing all of our pix is not an option.

The product works great as long as the OEM or quality cables and chargers are used. In addition, there are many types of micro USBs on the market so get a good quality fast one. At first the device did not work because I used an older charger and cable. I found the original Iphone cable and charger and it worked with no problem. It took a long time to download over 5000 photos. I upgraded the micro USB to a known brand with high transfer specification and it cut down the time to just a few minutes. The bottom line is to use the right cables, chargers and micro USB with the Flash drive and you will be very happy.

I was so excited about this product. Backup went smoothly and then I deleted my photos off of my phone since that’s why I got the backup (I had limited room on my phone left). I confirmed that it was okay to do that pre-deletion. I plugged my phone in the next morning and SEVERAL HUNDRED of my photos were gone. I was so upset. Thank goodness I could recover them from the delete folder. Do not get this product!

Couldn’t figure out how to use. They advertised it was easy to use. Not for us.

I had two old phones I wanted to remove the photos off of so I can keep them. I tried using iTunes to transfer my photos/videos to my computer but it wouldn’t work on my computer. I bought a 512GB microSD card, installed the app on my phones, and now have access to all photos/videos from both phones in one location. And it’s been easy to transfer the photos onto my new phone by using the Qubii app and microSD card. Definitely recommend this product!! And you can keep buying microSD cards so I bought one for my sis so she can save her photos/videos on her phone.

I love the qubii. It is so easy to use and the thing I like best is that it categorizes your pictures and videos by date, which many other storage systems are not able to do based on reviews of other devices. The only advice I would give is to make sure you are using an official apple phone charger or it won’t recognize that it’s connected. It is so easy to use and it always works , I have saved thousands of pictures and videos on it . Just buy a mini sd card and you are ready to go . It’s a great value for the peace of mind of having your photos and videos backed up

I have one of these and found it so easy and reliable I ordered this one for my wife who doesn’t like tech. Just download the app and plug it in and everything is automatic from there. Every night when I plug in it just does its thing. Highly recommend! No more paying for extra cloud storage for my photos!
