I have two now and I’m probably going to get more for my other tanks as well! I also just bought the clips for them so that’ll be even cooler. I like the timer aspect and the screen. I’ve dropped it in water and still works perfectly. I feel the settings are fairly simple and straight forward. Overall great light lights my tank well and grows my plants too! I can’t wait to get more.

I own the 24-30" version. Read and watched many reviews before purchasing. It is a great light with a PAR rating of 140 at 12" deep so red plants will appreciate this. I have a fluorescent Penplex hood and light. Just removed the old light and it was a direct fit with the new LED light. Now I have a great looking older hood with a lower profile look. After only a week of use, my plants are already showing drastic new growth. Out of the box, it defaults to the sun up to sun down timer function, where it starts out dim and grows to a full noon sunlight, and then ramps down to sun down. You just have to set your local time. Very natural for the fish and plants. Instructions included are terrible if you want to customize it. HOWEVER, send the seller a message about the bad manual, and they will send you a functional, English speaking fantastic manual via email. Quite happy. Purchase after purchase, I am pleased with Hygger products.

I like the light & the various options for color. However it is really difficult to set it to a programed setting. I managed eventually but then had a very brief power outage & now I'm having trouble programming it again.

I have purchased several of these lights. Mostly because they are full spectrum, and the cost is awesome. Depending on who you talk to in the aquarium realm, most will tell you that you have to spend a lot of money on lights...It's just simply not true. I have 7 freshwater tanks, 6 of them are planted tanks and these lights do everything I need them to. I have not had a single issue. I am able to grow just about anything. I can get the reds out of certain plants which is supposed to be a hard thing to do. The only thing I have struggled with are carpeting plants but only in my 120g. That is because it's a very tall tank. I'm sure I could do it by moving things around but it's not a huge priority for me. I also love the full day auto change and auto off feature of these lights. It's super cool to watch it go from sunrise to sunset...very cool!

This product is of high quality, worked flawlessly in the beginning with all the functions as advertised but then 2 weeks after usage the adapter burned and the whole thing is now useless. Don't buy this item. Update: The seller personally contacted me and offered a power supply. By this time I had already bought one which was working fine. So upon my request, they issued me a refund for the excess that I paid for this power supply. Very professional and customer centric staff, glad to have done business with these guys. No issues with the product itself and great value for money.

I’ve bought 3 of the lights the past couple of years and each one of them has its own problems. The first one will not turn the light off at times I have set along with the moon light mod as well in the diy mod. The second one I have will randomly shut the light off no matter what mod I have it in. The third one I have will not let me adjust brightness in the standard mode at all or even let me change light color. The instructions were definitely written by someone who does not speak English well and are very confusing. I had to find a YouTube video just to learn how to set the lights up. I would not recommend these lights as they are your better off saving a little more and buying the other brands that are available.

I have a smaller light just like this so when I needed a longer one I bought the same. This one doesn't work as well as the shorter one. This one overheats. I have to turn it down to 70 everyday to avoid overheating. It also shuts off at like 6 when it's set to shut off at 8:30. I assume this is because of overheating. Also, some times the brightening/dimming buttons don't work. I have to go in like I am changing the time to get it to reset for the brightening/dimming buttons to work again. Other then those quirks, I think it's a great light. I like the time settings and moonlight settings. I wish the wire arms were slightly longer to go into the light deeper when extended. I feel like they are so close to coming out all the way and letting the light fall into the water, even on the smaller sizing.

We wanted to bring back the tranquility of an aquarium after 2 long years without one after we moved. Natural substrate, live plants, wood and rocks all added beauty, but we also wanted to ensure a healthy environment for our plants and fish. This light mimics more natural cycles and lighting and seems to be working well. We've played with the settings and tweaked things along the way which is a far cry from old fashioned stick lights over theback of a tank! Love that we have control and can also adjust a little for our own needs and schedule with the timer. Would recommend for anyone. Knowing you invest a lot into your tank, decor and fish to improve your environment, good lighting is a must so you can give your "pets" a good environment too.

Affordable price for decent light I recently upgraded my aquarium light from hygger hg918 to this product. It indeed make a difference to my plant growth. Rotala and ludwigia appeared more red. Crinum calam grow out more leaves and increase in size! PS I have been using CO2 injection with hg918 as well, but with this new light, plants just show out more of their colour and growth. I will say this light is good for mod lighting plant at least, w lumen of 1984 for 24-30 inch. I use this for a 20 g heavy planted tank.

le premier que j'ai reçu est arrivé brisé. j'ai été remboursé et j'en ai commandé un autre car je le voulais. C'est un peu cher pour la qualité. ce n'est pas facile à le programmer si bien que je le fais manuellement et sa fonctionne mais je dois appuyer plusieurs fois sur la même touche pour changer les couleurs. sinon rien ne se passe. Le papier n'est pas en Français pour comprendre comment s'en servir c'est moins apprécié. Je trouve que les couleurs pour plusieurs sont foncés et je ne peux pas éclaircir la luminosité. si bien que je me sers toujours de la même la couleur blanche celle que je peux baisser ou monter la lumière alors oui c'est un produit trop cher.

Works well

I have 3 of these all in 24" they are great lights brightness wise the problem is the timer/program if you touch any where near the timer when opening closing your lid it will take it out of the program then you have to toggle through the setup to start it back on the timer. A button to turn the program on off would have been nice.

This light is very bright and it enhances the colors of the fish and surroundings. It easy to position it on top of the tank. As another reviewer found out, the daylight brightness is not adjustable in the default program. I find it too bright in my case. The complexity of using the DIY mode is such that I have not yet figured it out three weeks after receiving it. The user guide could be made a little more user friendly.
