Solid choice for the price. This jigsaw handles most DIY wood cuts. It's powerful enough for home projects, and the top-handle design gives good control. Blade changes are easy.

I used the jigsaw mainly to work on my stairs, i had no trouble cutting through 1 inch pine, 3/4 particle board with veneer on both side and if i remember well i did cut some 1 inch thick oak too. On the strength side, i have no complain! On few occasion i did notoce the blade was not cutting straight, but according to differents reading i've done before buying a jig saw, i think it's because i'm pushing to much on it and it did have had time to cut so it deviate a little. But its my first jig saw so i could not say. I bought two set od blade with it, one for "fast cut" and one for "clean cut" (both are bosch), the clean cut do a really nice cut ... You are supposed to put the nice side of your cut on the bottom because there will be splinter on the top, but i didnt had to do that, the cut is quite nice. The settings for the blade movement do a great job too, but for me, 4 settings is too much, i either turn it off for a quality cut or put it to the maximum to go faster. The allen key to adjust the bevel is included with it (on the cord, near the saw), and the blade can be saitch without tool. Quite happy with my purchase, only have to learn to cut without curving the blade now :)
