What is the natural flavoring made from?

Each candy has a real anise seed in the middle. The sugar coating is flavored with orange blossoms, violet blossoms and anise. The tins are beautiful; the candies are sweet, but have a breath freshening effect due to the anise seeds. I love to give them as little thank you gifts, or favors. Most people have never had them, and they have a wonderful old fashioned look and taste.
