A shavette with (more) convenient DE blades loading.
I have recently got into 'wet shaving' to 'tidy my beardlines'. I enjoyed using a shavette, with decent nick-free shaving. The only thing was a cut myself twice loading the blade. DE/ safety razors seem much less hassle to load with blades really but, like I say, my preference is shaving with a shavette rather than a DE razor. I thought that this might be the 'best of both worlds'. A shavette that takes DE blades and loads very safely like a DE razor. I wasn't disappointed. Only one shave but no nicks shaving with a nearly new Gillette platinum blade. The unit is all plastic bar the pins in the scales and the locking nut in the head. So rust shouldn't be an issue! I thought that was another bonus. I certainly found that it shaves ok for me though admittedly I obviously wasn't shaving my whole face. I wasn't sure how I'd get on with the blade being guarded but the shave was very similar to the shavette. It might take some folks some getting used to the fact that you can only shave with the locking nut facing away from your face because it is guarded in contrast to a straight/ shavette which you can obviously shave with both sides of but I think most would get used to this aspect of the razor's operation after a shot or three of using it. Hope this helps; happy shaving! :-)

Disappointing quality
The design has great potential but the manufacturing really lets it down. The plastic is very light and breakable The angle of the shave is uncomfortable The thin parts of the plastic look crappy, and edges that should be straight are rough... very rough.. This kind of manufacturing gives Made-in-Italy a bad reputation.
