Cedar Grilling Planks (50-Pack): 5x7-1-2 Servings Each, USA-Made

I’ve used cedar planks for grilling salmon for many years now, and my stock was quite low. I frequently have used smaller segments of the cedar because I’m only cooking for two and only cooking one meal at a time. When I saw this offering, I thought they would work out perfectly and they do! They are thinner than other planks I have used, but it doesn’t affect the flavor or the way I use them. I’m very happy. I may end up ordering another box just to have because you never know when you can find what you want and what the future price might be.

I ordered these planks specifically because they're smaller and perfect for a single fish steak. No idea why it's so hard to find this size plank - they take up less room on the grill and make for a great presentation! When the planks arrived I was concerned that they're thinner than others I've used, but they smelled great and were sanded on the grilling surfaces. After my first use...love, love love! I soaked the planks in lemon beer for an hour and then placed an ahi steak, rosemary sprig and lemon slice on each plank. To say the smell while grilling was divine is an understatement, and the mild cedar flavor in the fish was perfection! The thinner boards seem to have helped infuse the fish with the flavor more quickly than thicker planks. And, my regular planks in this size from Target cost about $3 each, when I can find them...these are roughy 55 cents each!! If you're okay with smaller planks, these are perfect!

Not as thick as some we have had in the past, but still does a very good job cooking with it. Well worth the price.

These planks are smaller than others but, they are the perfect size for a single serving. They are slightly thinner than other planks on the market however, reusing a plank is not ideal. You're not going to get that same cedar aroma from the used plank. Cleaning the used plank, which involves sanding off the char, is simply not worth the time and effort. I do suggest soaking the planks overnight rather than just a few hours before grilling. I've been making cedar plank salmon 2 to 3 times a week since purchasing these planks and I will definitely purchase them again!

Thought these would be larger in length. While can/will use, will need to use 2 or more to fit 1/4 of a salmon plank on them to smoke.

Love the grilling planks!

I bought these cedar grilling planks because we love cooking fish on them. We will cook salmon on the grill over fire, and we will cook salmon in our oven with them. The are perfect size for one standard stake of fish. The cedar flavor tastes good and they are super easy to soak in water before you grill due to their size. I don’t need to cut them in half anymore. The ease of use is fantastic. They are a great value for the money from a cost per plan point of view. They are a good thickness for cooking. Best of all, when we are done with them, I can just throw them in the camp fire. Recipe: we love salmon with maple syrup and garlic salt.

Too thin. Even with soaking all day, they dry and catch fire too quickly. I compared with other cedar planks i've used for grilling and they are much thinner Also, they are SMALLER than 5x7 VERY disappointed with my purchase
