Worked perfectly! Worth noting though in the Amazon description it says that it's made of aluminum which is inaccurate it's actually painted plastic. Easy enough to install and nice to be able to mount it wherever on the track is preferred. As far as value for the money these are 12 bucks locally if you get them in black or white, not sure why they say $10 price hike for the metallic painted version but oh well very happy with it regardless.

If you're removing a ceiling light fixture to install a track light take note that the mounting plate/cross bar holes on this item only go one way to attach to your electrical box. My box was turned the opposite so I had to drill a few holes in my track and screw to a stud to hold up the track. If your box is mounted to a stud this is no problem, but if you are attaching to a remodel box you may also need sheetrock anchors. But overall this thing was a great money saver for me since I already had some track laying around I wanted to use.

I replaced an older type of track light with a new H-track and bought this canopy connector to power it. Installation was pretty easy; however, I was missing a black screw to secure both sides after installation.

Works as stated, I would buy again.

This track lighting junction box works well and we are happy with the end result but installation was more difficult than it needed to be due to a design issue with its mounting plate. The problem is that the mounting plate must be attached to the junction box in one specific orientation - the direction that the track will run across the ceiling. The plate only has a few holes in it, so the odds are low that they will line up exactly with the junction box in the ceiling, and if they don't, the mounting plate can't be rotated because then it would not align to the track direction. We managed to jury-rig a solution with the help of another mounting plate from the hardware store but it was a very frustrating experience.
