Updated 5/10/2019 I have now tried two brands of Jiaogulan off amazon and a third brand, the #1 brand worldwide. The other on amazon came in teabags and was aggressively marketed, which in retrospect is a huge red flag. It didn't taste right. And when i opened the bag it was all ground up and full of little pointy bits. So I did the research and then went for this. I decided the open appearance of the product signaled honesty. There are two kinds of jiaogulan- bitter and sweet. This is sweet. It tastes the same as other varieties but after swallowing there is no bitter aftertaste. It's just tea, and good tea at that. I thank the thai farmers who produce this. Later, i decided $23 for 100 grams of fricking tea is too expensive and tried the brand you can find when you search jiagoulan on google and which is also suggested when you shop this product on amazon. Their bulk option let me buy $192 worth of tea for only $9 per 100 grams, which I thought was a good deal. Big mistake. Despite the fact their tea, when dry, resembles the northlandtea company product, the tea when WET does not. Their tea smells like tobacco when rinsed. The leaves are mostly fragments and stem material. After brewing, the difference is obvious. This tea has a whole, rich component to it and the leaves once soaked and brewed expand to a much larger volume and are mostly whole, large leaves. Again I thank the producers of this tea.

It's detoxing. It's like green tea without the caffeine and weird feeling. It's relaxing. It's an acquired taste.

This is my 2nd time purchasing Jiagolin Tea from Amazon. The first was with the Immortalitea brand I really enjoyed the taste from the first brand it was light and not overbearing. Unfortunately they didnt have the size I wanted available.. So I tried this brand, and with my first cup I found the taste overbearing and within a half an hour of drinking it, I was nauseated but to be fair.. I put more tea leaves than I should have while steeping it, it turned out very strong and very dark. Honestly I'm so disgusted by the video of another reviewer, finding mites in their tea I was already disgusted with this tea.. Soo I'm going to pour out all of the tea and look thru it Carefully if I don't see bug shells or actual bugs I'll brew another mug with less leaves and add to this review. Addendum No Bugs, Shells or anything inconspicuous in my Tea. I have brewed several cups of this tea as of today, with less tea or more water and it taste just like the brand Immortalitea

Good for blood pressure

This Jiaogulan is great. Usually this type of tea has a lingering smoky flavor and is dusty. This brand is filled to the top of the container and there is no dust at the bottom of the cup. The tea has a very fresh taste. I am very happy with my purchase. I also have blended the tea and the tea leaves in a green smoothie. The tea has a wonderful, clean taste. Buy this!

I loved the taste of this tea and was so excited reading all the health benefits, but after reading a review on here about people finding bugs and mites in their tea, I decided to check and it was crawling in different types of bugs!! I am disgusted and sadly cannot get a refund.

This tea is excellent. It has a natural sweet flavour that you could swear was cut with stevia if you didn't know better. Given the purported health benefits (similar to ginseng), the freshness, the quality, everything about it is good. The container has only whole dried leaves, no stems not even small ones. The leaves haven't been processed in any way, which is great, it's exactly what I want. You can tell that care went into the process of gathering and preparing this tea, and by the flavour it seems the plants and soil are quite healthy. I have already ordered more.
