Great little stories - my 6 year old boy/girl twins love them. Each story is a few short chapters - perfect for a bedtime story and they find them really funny. Recommend for this age!

My 7 year old is a great reader. He was inbetween youth novels and children's books. I tried James and the giant peach but it wouldn't keep his focus, he has already read half the books in this set and they are amazing! Going to get the next set soon.

My 6 year old son loves this series ~ he laughs at the situations Bertie finds himself on & funny endings. It keeps his attention & is age appropriate.

Great fiction series, my daughter absolutely raves about these books and was delighted to unwrap series one on her 8th birthday and is already asking for series two.

Delivered within a few days (Ireland). Bought as a Christmas present but I know my 8 yr old son will love them. Text is nice and big as he struggles with small text due to eyesight.

My 6 year olds lives these books. A story is just the right length. Probably about 10 mins. Perfect for bed time.

Easy read, short stories for kids. I'm sure most kids will relate to yucky stories in this series.

My 5yrs old boy loves them and still read them after months of having them. Makes him giggle and he always talks about what Bertie does.

I bought these for my five-year-old grandson because he loves the ones that we had borrowed from the library. However, these books must have been written in the United Kingdom. The vocabulary and the word choices are different from what we would choose. For example, diapers are nappies, the trash truck is the Dust bin, treat time at a birthday party is referred to as tea, mail is the post. There are many other examples and I find it disconcerting when I'm reading to him because I have to change the words, or stop to explain to him, so he knows what we're talking about. I've checked all the sales literature, but there's no indication as to the fact that these books use an entirely different vocabulary from what our children are used to in the United States. The stories, however, really hold our little boy's attention and he loves them.

Underwhelming in general. There are some funny bits, but in general it could have been written better. I'm not impressed.

I bought these books for my 3 year old son not realizing they are like chapter books. I was going to return them, but my boyfriends nephew is 7 so we decided to keep them for him . Wish the pictures were colored but other than that they are decent books.
