An absolute 5/5 pantry staple for low-energy days!
I deal with low-energy days where I am so exhausted that I would honestly rather skip a meal than spend time cooking. Because of that, I need something incredibly convenient, and I absolutely love, love, love this one! It is so good that it is officially going to be a permanent staple in my pantry moving forward. My favorite way to make this is in the skillet. One day at work, the break room microwave was occupied, so I decided to warm it up in the portable skillet I keep at my desk, and I was so incredibly impressed by the taste! One time I did try putting it in the microwave for the recommended time, but I ended up transferring it to the skillet right after anyway because I just love the pan-cooked flavor so much. I'm not sure if it tastes the same straight out of the microwave, but I am sticking with the skillet method because it is just 'oh my god' delicious! Taking a couple of minutes to finish it in the pan is 100% worth it. Don't let the packaging fool you—it looks small, but it is surprisingly filling and was the perfect amount of food for my meal. I really look forward to eating this. A definite 5 out of 5!"

good product
Good taste, chunks of chicken, just heat in your microwave. Great for the lazy days when you don't feel like cooking. Reasonable price.

Great for a meal when you only have two minutes for prepping and cooking.
If you have read all the questions and answers for the Hormel Compleats Chicken Alfredo, you have probably already read this whole review already. UPDATE Oct 21, 2020 I have just seen the price of this product change back to the original price and will be available with Amazon as the seller and the shipper as of Nov 7, 2020. This update pretty much cancels the previous update. UPDATE Oct 11, 2020 The price for this six-pack of Hormel's chicken alfredo has just increased by almost ten dollars from $11.88 to $21.79 and up. That is nearly DOUBLE the old price. I stand by my rating but highly recommend not buying the product due to price gouging by Amazon's "other sellers". ORIGINAL REVIEW: Does this taste like chicken alfredo made fresh by a gourmet chef? Absolutely not. Does it taste good enough for most people to enjoy? Absolutely. You have to keep in mind that canned chicken does not have the taste or texture of fresh chicken and that canned pasta cannot be substituted for pasta freshly boiled to the preferred al dente or to any other preferred doneness. Taking that into account, I think it is very tasty. The dozen or so packages I have eaten were tasty with enough chicken to make it a good meal. I highly recommend stirring it after heating, the sauce will have a nicer consistency. For me, the actual taste of the sauce is maybe a bit bland, but still cheesy and pleasant enough, and a decent texture after it is stirred. The chicken is breast meat (which, to me, is almost tasteless even when it is fresh chicken), with no unpleasant added taste and a texture that I think is actually pretty good for chicken in a packaged pre-cooked meal. And the pasta is okay considering that it has been soaking in sauce for up to a couple of years while sitting in your cupboard. I enjoy it, and it is awesome when you have only two minutes to prep and cook a hot meal.

Good little meal
These little microwave meals work perfect for taking to work for lunch. They are small and fit into my backpack easily, without worry of opening or going bad. They taste great and are ready to go in just a minute. It is a fairly small meal, so I usually pair it with something else, but it's reasonable enough to keep from getting hungry.

Fine if you’re stuck studying — skip it if you can cook
Hormel Compleats Chicken Alfredo is 3 stars. It’s average. Not great, not terrible, just fine. The food doesn’t look bad, and it’s simple to prepare. Good for a college kid who needs something to eat while stuck studying. If you’re an adult who has time to cook, skip it and buy something like Annie’s mac and cheese instead. That’s the split. It does the job when convenience is the point and you’re not expecting a real meal. It’s not offensive, and it’s easy. It’s also not something I’d choose if I had 15 minutes and a stove. Buy it for the dorm or a late study night. Don’t buy it if you can make something better.
