This switcher is now an essential part of my small studio. Gradually I had been accumulating small HDMI monitors for various projects. This now shows all 4 images on one screen, and gets rid of the small pile on monitors and cables that littered my desk. Problem solved. The switchover was really easy, just a matter of plugging it in. I'm using it at 1920 x 1280. I was surprised at the low cost, and the excellent picture quality. It comes with a couple of accessory ears for mounting and the construction is very solid. Recommended.

Exactly what I needed. I bought this because I grew very tired of playing Minecraft with my son,now he can play Minecraft and I can play whatever my heart desires in our game. You will need at least 3 HDMI cables,two for your devices of choice and one for your tv. The picture quality drops to 1080P when using this device,still looks good to me but buyer beware. While this does make sense,you do have to choose which of the split actions gets the audio. You won't be able to listen to all four gaming consoles in my case. Oh and this just applies to my snes but it is the only console connected that does not work properly when using it in a split screen of two

This HDMI Switcher works well and makes it easy to connect multiple devices to one TV or monitor. The picture quality is clear, and switching between devices is quick and simple. Setup was easy, and the device feels useful for everyday use. Good value for the price.

Sturdy, heavy, and well made. Now for some of the NOT so great things about this HDMI SYSTEM switcher. It will RARELY SWITCH HDMI inputs on the first press of the remote at about 15’, line-of-sight❗️Also blocks my audio level indicator on the tv screen. It’s remote MAY interfere with other devices. In my case, I have a large digital display clock that requires it’s remote to set the clock. The OREI HDMI Switcher’s remote INTERFERES with the digital clock.

This unit is a good example or great functionality but a user interface that could be better. I will talk about the overall summary and the different modes. Let’s start with the good: - unit is small, metal, well constructed - remote is easy to use - great for watching multiple videos or one video source and a desktop source - very little lag - no frame loss that I can tell (streaming video) - Switching is nearly instant - Several modes/layouts - Remote covers all functions and a few extras like power and resolution. - price is good for what you get Not so good: - it stretches sources so text in particular may not be readable - power light is on all the time and is very bright - physical buttons are labeled oddly. “Audio” does what it says—switches audios sources—but it also has a hidden feature that if you hold it down the source text toggles on or off. “Main” changes source order for modes that support that—label makes no sense. “Mode” changes layout—not very clear but better than “main.” - Monitor will never sleep unless you turn the switcher off - You can only turn it off via remote. There is no auto off. - On screen source labels are either on or off (with audio button long press). I wish it would briefly show you the source or else have lights on the unit. - Remote provides direct audio source controls but not direct video source controls. You have to keep pressing the Mode button on remote or unit to cycle through video sources. Onto the modes/layouts. When I talk about text I just pulled up a Google search in Chrome. Full Screen Mode Resolution is great. Not much else to say. Works like you think. 2x2 Mode All four sources scaled. Positions are fixed. Text unreadable but it is good for monitoring changes or multiple videos. You can read it if you scale to 175% or more. Side-Center Mode This gives you 2 larger scaled views in the middle and two very stretched views on the sides. The side views are pretty useless but the center ones are good since it is the largest you can show 2 sources without stretching. Text is barely readable. Positions are fixed so only inputs 2 and 3 can be in the middle. 1x2 Mode Two inputs side-by-side. You can show inputs 1+2 or 3+4, no other combinations. Text is more readable but you still need to scale it up to 150-200% to work on it. Both are stretched vertically. 1 + 3x1 Mode 1 large square screen and 3 scaled small screens. This is my favorite because the large screen, while slightly stretched vertically, is usable. Scale to 150% and it is very clear. The other three are good for video or monitoring something. You can cycle any source to be the large screen. It rotates around: 1234, 2341, 3412, etc.

This product works great and is great value. Easy to use.

I ordered new. It looked used and not even properly repacked. The power supply was hastily wrapped and thrown in the box. It is also the cheapest of Chinese crap available. It is one of the jankiest power supplies I have ever seen and it is a universal power suplly they didnt include the parts fir other countries to. My remote came broken and the battery and holder were loose in the box. The sticker on the remote doesn't fit. I have 4 raspberry pi's I wanted to use this for to monitor stats. The fonts are awful and unreadable. And yes. I read the manual and tried the suggestions. I don't write many reviews, but I had to write this one. What an absolutely disappointing piece of ultra low end Chinese garbage. This is an example of what it looks like when someone puts the most minimal of efforts into creating a product. I'll be returning the unit with hesitation. Strongly do not recommend and quite frankly, Orei should be removed as a vendor on Amazon.

Is doing the job so far. Work well on my parents 1080p tv and helps them switch inputs much easier..

Picture quality is good. I only use the full screen and 4-split modes. My only real problems with it are that when you want to chose the input for the full screen mode, you have to press the button to cycle through all the inputs to get to the one you want - I would have preferred that you can just select the input directly. Also (minor) in 4-split mode you can't reorder the inputs, they are fixed to how they are connected to the box. The remote isn't very responsive, I seem to have to press buttons repeatedly to get it to respond. That being said, I am generally happy with it and so far it works well.
