No, it isn't like having a fresh lemon to squeeze, but it is a way to add lemon concentrate to your food or drinks. It isn't practical to carry a bottle with requires refrigeration after opening. I use mine to flavor fish. I eat a lot of baked or fried fish and lemon in my opinion helps enhance flavor. I love it.
